Emergency Plumbing Specialists
I first contacted Dean in the fall of 2013 to unclog a drain and he did a fantastic job. A few weeks later I had him install a new shut off to my outside faucets. The second week of May 2014, I called Dean because I had water in my basement. He rescheduled me two days before coming out I took off work and he called and postponned it until later when I would have been home from work. By the time he got there there wasn't any water. He said to watch it the next time it rained and call him. I did and got his voicemail and he never called me back. A few days later, I called because my kitchen faucet was leaking underneath the cabinet. He advised me to buy a new faucet and call him (anytime day or night) and he would come install it. I called him on Friday Afternoon and told him I had the new faucet. He said that he was goi ng out of town for the weekend and to call him Monday. I called him Monday morning and he told me he was swamped and could do it around 4:00 and to call him back just before then. I called at 3:35 and he said a guy he does work for that has 10 houses just called and needs something done and he couldn't get to my job that night but set it up for Wednesday afternoon and said he would be there between 1:30 and 2:00. My wife took off work this time to be there. Dean called and said asked if I still wanted him to do the job and I said we set it up and my wife was home and he was to be there between 1:30 and 2:00. He said that something come up and he wouldn't be able to get there until much later. I told him that he always says something come up and puts me off. He replied "what do you want to do?" "Do you want to get someone else?" I would recommend finding someone else for your job unless you don't mind waiting and being put off several times.

CMC Plumbing, Heating & Cooling
CMC is very pleasant company to deal with...if you have extra money! I mean EXTRA MONEY! They were very nice on the phone as far as explanation goes. They also made plumber's visit in convenient for me time.Technician was incredibly helpful and nice. He was very friendly also. He cared about my floors and covered his shoes. My garbage disposal was changed for over $500 dollars! This company charges $60 just for coming out. Fee is not going to be waived if you'll take a job, it'll be added to your bill. I personally don't think it's a reasonable price. I wish I had time to shop around. Like I mentioned before if you don't care about price - hire them to do the job.

J & B Plumbing
I have to say this father and son team are AWESOME!! Hot water tank blew up last night, was given a referral for them this morning. Within forty five minutes they were at the house WITH a new water tank. Not only were they finished within 2 hours (including having to make modifications to the water lines) but but VERY reasonably priced. I cannot sing their praises enough.

Dean came and fixed our main pipe going from my house to the street. He worked with us and the insurance company to get the job done. He did a great job fixing the major problem and now we no longer have any more plumbing problems.

Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
