Scott Leslie Rose, DDS
Dr. Rose has been our family dentist since relocating back to the Cleveland area 9 years ago. We simply couldn't be happier with the care we have received and continue to receive. The needs of our basic dental health as well as issues with TMJ/jaw dislocation and special care for gums have been identified and always met. Dr. Rose has made himself available to us whenever we may need; day or night, as well as weekends and holidays. His staff is top notch and always goes the extra mile to be accommodating and flexible, as well as warm and kind. Simply put, we are beyond pleased with our dentist!

Solon Dental Excellence
At the beginning of the year I decided it was finally time for braces! I had had them when I was younger but my teeth had shifted back a little. I had decided to go in for a consult, which was free! When the doctor came in she had told me about traditional and Invisalign which both options for me. I was shown videos and models of both. That day they gave me a break down of what I would own and even took the time to get the process started! In just 10 weeks I was finished with Invisalign and I'm in love with my smile again! All thanks to Dr Kalaf and her very helpful

Michael David Salkovitch, DDS
I have been going to Dr. Salkovitch for years and can't say enough good things. I have referred him to friends and family multiple times. The dentist office is never fun but his friendly staff and nice, clean office make me feel relaxed. Unlike most doctor and dentist offices, I never feel like they are pushing me out the door to get to the next patient. Dr. Salkovitch is so nice and is extremely thorough making sure he answers all of my questions. I typically don't write reviews but I had to because of the exceptional service and care I've been given.

I had another root canal done at Solon Dental Excellence. The antibiotic given to me last wk. seemed to help w/ resolving some pain issues from previously 2 root canals done at another dentist’s office. Thank You Dr. Williams for listening to me! I couldn’t believe how fast they did my procedure. It took just over an hour from the time I went back to the exam room! The 2 root canals I had done at another dentist took over 4 hours. How can someone do better work like you did and do it that much more quickly? Thank you again.

Glick Dental Associates Inc
Dr Glick is a great dentist with a wonderful staff in the back of the house. However, the office manager, Elizabeth is completely rude. I had a cleaning done by Danielle (who's the best, in my opinion.) I called in with my credit card to pay for the services. For some reason it was never posted to my account. So I get a very nasty voicemail from Elizabeth stating I was getting sent to collections. Great office as far as dentistry, but the front desk is rude and. Rude. For that reason alone, I'll be finding another location.

Michael Guirguis, D.D.S.
Each and every member of the staff are pleasant and comforting. Going to the dentist can be a frightful experience for most of us and 'The Guirgus dental community' has helped put me at ease with each visit. I no longer carry the stigma of anxiety when visiting the dentist. I now go to the dentist every six months instead of waiting for a tooth problem occur. They are the BEST. My thanks to each of you for your genuine and professional care with each visit.

Solon Dental Excellence
I moved to OH in 2004 and was looking for a new dentist. I tried Solon Dental Excellence and had a GREAT first appointment. The office was completely new with flat screens for every patient. They have all new equipment and the hygienists are all very personable.Best of all, Dr. Kalaf is VERY thorough. I had a chipped tooth repaired in 2006 and it still looks perfect in 2012!

Solon Dental Excellence
Dr. Kalaf is not only competent but caring. In reading one of the other reviews, i find it hard to believe since she has replaced my silver fillings and suggested they were more cosmetically appealing. Solon Dental Excellence is modern and way better than many of the '50's style dentists in the area. Appointments are also handled in a timely manner, much appreciated.

Dr. Scott L Rose DDS is always up to date on the latest technologies and procedures which I love. He really helped me a lot with TMJ. I didn’t even know what it was until I was talking to him about my symptoms and he explained what was wrong. He gave me a mouthguard to wear at night and it completely fixed the problem.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
