YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

I love this bar! The staff are really friendly and the patrons are very non-pretentious. Drinks are cheap, they sell the large PBR cans, and service is usually pretty fast. They have some club nights that are free, encourage motorcycle parking in front, and have a HUGE back patio area. Super close to Lanesplitter pizza - which stays open until midnight. I was torn between 4 and 5 stars, but since I have been here several times and ALWAYS have a great time...I'm going to go with 5.

Just in time for Happy Hour- The Layover has accomplished a bohemian sheik interior, circa 1970 Las Vegas glam. Featuring DJ line ups, reclaimed wood, tile, fabrics and bold splashes of color; this full bar sports velvet wall paper and sells all artwork and furnishings. Super convenient - just blocks from the Fox and Paramount theaters and 19th street BART. Check out all the large variety of beers, liquor, specialty cocktails and free wi-fi. Adjoining the bar is the art gallery space 'depARTure - full of local art.

The Stork Club is awesome! The new building is less rundown than the original over on 12th Street. The new place is decorated the same: Christmas decorations (year round), vintage Barbies and weird cowboy art. It's a great place to see local bands, often 3 or 4 a night , for cheap. You can see the bands from the bar in the next room and you can listen in the back while playing pool. This is a cool rock and roll bar and a must visit.

Adam, the owner, has yet to brew in his new location (he presently brews at Drake' s Bay in San Leandro) but does serve fresh brews on Friday night between 5pm and 9pm or until the keg dries out. I have been there 2 Fridays in a row. Cool place to hang out in the parking lot with a band playing on the veranda. Kids, dogs and bikes welcome. Grungy part of the port of Oakland with trains going back and a recurring strong odor of fuel. Bring hot links or ribs for the BBQ and enjoy some East Bay beers!

I was in oakland for a job, got off kind of late and found this bar in the area. The outside doesn't look like much, but inside was pretty nice. Not flashy but not a hole in the wall either, but very much what you expect a bar to look like. Pool table, juke box, and flat screen tvs everywhere. \r There seem to be a lot of regulars, the bar tender knew all their names, I swear felt like cheers.\r Also they were quick to help me, the bartender was really friendly, talked to me for a while, like bartenders should do, like the movies you know.\r Well basically the friendliest bar i've been to in a while.

I don't usually buy into the whole ""It's historical therefore it's good"" thing, but this place really does have some magic in it. The drinks were good, but the real attraction is the decor and the beautiful views.

A friend recommended Arsimona for our weekend outing. Man was I impressed. The private elevator, the 50"" flat screens everywhere, the tasteful decor and the ambiance. They had it all. The trendy clienteles. The most beautiful women. I'm from NYC, I""ve been to all the top notch parties, Arsimona just brought a bit of that east coast flavor to Oakland. God did we need it. I also hear Thursdays are awesome, will surely check it out. If you like that bump and grind, can't walk or breath lounge, this place is not for you, but if you like that classy, professional looking crowd then Arsimona is your spot

24.Miss Pearls Jam House
Had a chance to eat @ Miss Pearl's Jam House. My daughter & I were pleasantly surprised how good it was as compared to the last time we ate there, which was over 2 years ago. The menu has been changed and there was a new chef & management. Both the Breakfast & Dinner was well prepared, delivered very quickly & beautifully prepared. The servers continuously came around to see how we're doing & to see if we needed anything. Even the dinner manager came by to chat & see how we were doing. My daughter & I would now strongly recommend eating @ Miss Pearl's Jam House

26.Mimosa Champagne Lounge
Ever wanted to try different flavours in your champagne(aka sparkling wine)? Ever want to just sit around with your pals and not feel bothered? Ever wanted a more grown atmosphere? Want to watch a film w/ subtitles whlle chatting with a local? Mimosas has this air: No pressure, have wine, have a snack, watch the movie or people watch! I came here with some girls of mine and we ended up with one of the booths after coming from another place up the block. We were not ready to go home, but we were not looking for a club either. Mimosa served our purpose which was to get off our feet and reconnect. We were truly lounging and appreciated the company of others! We enjoyed just sitting around & sipping our wine. Some evenings just call for that & Miimosa delivered.

Restaurant was very tasteful. Bar and lounge area was unacceptable. No lime, no salt, barely alcohol and customer service was horrid.
28.Tay Ho Restaurant & Bar

ALL of TAY HO’S dishes display exquisite flavors of traditional Vietnamese cooking but display the happy marriage of the California and BAY area influence on this already exceptional cuisine.
