I've been a fan of this place since the mid 70s. Back then it was under the name of Pontillos. I compare every pizza I try to date to this place and few have come close. I moved away from the bay area some years ago and had the opportunity to frequent it again recently and was pleased they kept the original recipes and ingrediants. Even the menu board looked the same. There is a reason they have been in business for so long. Love the stromboli, it's my favorite. Don't plan on eating in though as it's mostly takeout aside with a single row of bench seating.

We ordered lunch items to go from the regular menu and not the lunch specials. We were given uncooked lamb and combination fried rice dumped with only half cooked scrambled egg and really stale rice. We are regulars at Hangen for the past couple of years and looks like the food quality and quantity is gradualy deteriorating!

Amici' has a very good thin crust pizza. Good for delivery or eat in. A bit noisy and certainly not inexpensive.

I love this place. Although I order the same thing every time, I try my girlfriends plate and they have never yet to fail me. Its hard to get past the panne alfrado with the delicious italian sausage, my all time favorite! I love the service and the waiters are quite easy on the eyes my girlfriend mentioned.

I had been searching for a great Indian restaurant. I usually presume that the 'hole in the wall' places have the best food, yet when it came to Indian places, they were OK - average. When someone told me about Amber on Santana Row I thought I would give it a try. I expected it to be pricey and ok, yet I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent - next best thing to home cooking. The dinner prices were reasonable and definitely worth it. The service was impeccable. Lunch time buffet is the steal however. I highly recommend it.

I frequent Yakko Sushi every other week for a late weekday dinner and for business with various co-workers. It is always a great environment with a great staff that is always willing to go the extra effort to get to know their returning customers. For those not in the know, it is always a blast when they host their special events and bring out the sake machine. Now, I am not much of a sake drinker, but when one can pour sake as it were a slurpee then it is definitely worth mentioning. As much as I enjoy traditional sushi, nigiri and sashimi, every time I visit Yakko?s I solely order from the sushi roll menu because they offer some of the spiciest rolls that my taste buds have ever tasted. My favorites are the Arizona roll and the Washington roll, not to be thrown off by the Americanized names, they are to rave about because the flavors are extraordinary and with the hint of wasabi in the soy sauce, then it is party in my mouth with every bite. Beyond the sushi, there is also a wide assortment of delicious appetizers and entrees one can sink their teeth into. And as a dessert, the chef always surprises us with a specially prepared plate of food that he comes up with on the spot; it is always different every visit. Last time we were treated to baby octopi coated in a very spicy sauce. Yakko Sushi is must for all sushi lovers living in Mounatin View and the adjacent communities.

This is my favorite Sushi getaway! After visiting other Sushi Restaurants in the area, I still continue to come back to Sono again and again. The atmosphere is friendly and the service is excellent. The menu selection is perfect for an afternoon snack or a late dinner for two. The fish is so fresh and full of excellent flavor. I highly recommend the ""E"" box for a nice variety of California rolls, Tuna, Eel, shrimp, and salmon. There Shrimp Tempura is exceptional as well. Enyoy!

This place has never disappointed me. The service is quick, the food is hot and fresh, and the prices can't be beat. A great place when you have a cold: grab a hot bowl of soup and a glass of fresh-squeezed orange juice. The vegetable soups are my recommendation.

When you want food and none of the frills like ""please"" and ""thank-you,"" this is the place. You sit, order, eat, pay, and walk out with a satisfied belly. What you see is what you get. Some locations of Pho Hoa are better than others (avoid Sunnyvale and Milpitas and go to Cupertino) but it all really depends on what you order. This is comfort food. Noodles and hot soup. Yum.

I've been going to this restaurant for years. The appetizers are great - the croquettes (potato type patties)are excellent, but hot when served. The service is excellent, the wait staff is subtle and read hand signals. The sushi is always fresh. My husband loves their Alaska rolls, I love just about everything they have. They can make a custom roll for you if you like certain things. It's great for a date or groups up to about 8 (they have some larger booths). Try the fried Green Tea icecream for dessert, too!

I've been looking for a good yet affordable Japanese restaurant in Mt. View. Last night, I found it. Sure, Masa Sushi is not located in a fancy spot, but maybe that's why they are able to keep the prices very reasonable. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. Upon being promptly seated, complimentary carrot tempura was brought to our table. Delicious! We ordered an assortment of rolls. Shrimp tempura roll (6 pieces $4.50) was great and a deal. Las Vegas roll (a special - salmon, cream cheese, avocado - deep fried $7.95) came too heavily battered. I wouldn't order that one again. But everything else (rainbow roll, dragon roll, Diane roll) was delicious, and abundant. And FREE refills on soda. Never found that at a Japanese restaurant before. \r \r Masa sushi is a hidden jewel.

I've been here for dinner twice and lunch once. Lunch is the BEST deal. You get large quantities for the item ordered and the food is fairly authentic. The panfried fish (flounder I think) was really good at lunch and seemed to be a speciality, as I noticed many other patrons had ordered it. The waitstaff is responsive and better than the ave Chinese restaurant.

I love the freshness of Satsuma's fishes/seafood and the bentos are also yummy!\r \r The place is always busy or busier compared to other sushi places, but I usually try to go either little earlier or later and avoid the peak lunch and dinner time. I figure especially the sushi places have to be busy in order to serve the freshest seafood and this place is one of the busiest in the SF Bay Area.\r \r Enjoy!

Went to lunch with co-workers to Mario's - a fast paced, noisy, boring-exterior restaurant - I expected little but was very pleasantly surprised. The dining area is clean, bright and cheerful. The wait staff is friendly, attentive & accommodating - in spite of the fast pace. I ordered water with no ice & extra lemon, pasta with extra gravy, salad with dressing on the side and NO PARMIGIAN CHEESE PLEASE. The waitress never missed a beat. My colleagues eat at Mario's once a week as part of their ethnic-dining lunchtime routine. Upside - good variety menu, yummy flat bread they call pizza-bread, tasty pasta served nice and hot, fresh salad (not the bagged stuff), generous portion, friendly staff, good value and pound cake. Downside - not easy to find, noisy, no designated waiting area, wait staff scurry around - that's about it. Next time I'm having the chicken marsala!
