I adore oysters, the aftertaste of sea, the freshness and briny goodness cut through a zingy squirt of lemon and a splash of hot sauce. Delish. Add some good company, and it's a party. Go on Mondays, when it's just a dollar apiece at the bar.

Their other food options, sandwiches, pasta, etc. are fine. But brunch is definitely worth any wait. They offer great portions with delicious food. In the fall they have pumpkin spice pancakes, which are so good! The service is usually ok, thought during brunch the servers are extremely busy. During that time, you may have to wait a little longer than usual for drink refills, etc.-- but it is still worth it.

Loved The Red House. We showed up without reservations and got a wonderful seat in the bar right in front of a glowing fireplace. The food was innovative and delicious. Great artisan bread with olive oil and fresh grated cheese. The service was very good. Had passed by a few times and thought how unique and cozy it looked and finally remembered it as an option when next I found myself in the square. With all the history in the Square, you'd think that there would be more restaurants like this near Harvard rather than cookie cutter cold national chains. This location is genuine early Cambridge--like an old inn that is still in operation. I was reminded a bit of the Turf in Oxford.

We had made a reservation a few days ago (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) for 13 of us from work. Our table was waiting for us and the drink order was taken pretty quickly. With the large party we had they brought over two servers to take our orders and everything came out fantastic! On this very cold day, even sitting near the window, it was extremely cozy. Most comments I received from my group was wow what a presentation and the portions. A+++++ In our book

Finally got a chance to grab a beer and bite to eat here. and I would come here again. The biggest drawback of this place is that it is small; therefore, this place can get packed, especially afterwork. I tried coming here several times with a few friends afterwork on a Thurs or Fri only to be met by packed bar. I had the opportunity to order the grilled chicken sandwich, which was delicious, and a recommended beer (from the waiter)that was on tap. Service was good, food was good, beer was good, pricing was good. I don't have anything negative to say about this place. Definitely a winner in my book!

I've eaten at Henrietta's Table many times over the years. Firstly, I love the location. It is situated in the Charles Hotel in Cambridge. The decor is very beautiful and the restaurant is always clean and well kept. The recipes are both simple and inventive. The staff is gracious and the food is fairly priced. Enjoy!

I was there on a week night when there were only about 6 tables full. The service was a bit slow to get started (about 5 minutes for my order drink order to be taken) but it was smooth sailing after that. The waiter was attentive and polite and the food came very fast and it was very good. I was in an out in less than one hour. Although I had a big beer, an appetizer, a main dish and dessert, the bill was only $40. Very reasonable, very good and very inexpensive.

I've been to Zuzu several times, have tolerated OK (not bad) service, but have LOVED the food! Their cuisine is consistent, flavorful, imaginative, warm and satisfying. It's a great value, too. Try the Cheese & Black Olive Pate as an app and Fried Chicken Entree - perfect!

Find Franks hard to stay away from, very friendly atmosphere, awesome service always with a smile. Varied Menu with daily specials. Love sirloin well Big Franks is the one, A big cut cooked to perfection. A little keno while eating never hurts and may even pay for your meal. Drinks are refreshing and the beer is cold. This is a great family restaurant with something for everyone.

I went to EVOO and Za under my buddy's apartment building just out of convenience. Found their menus online and really was in the mood for some funky stuff. Although Za's macaroni and cheese pizza was meh, EVOO's cornmeal fried oysters were so freaking tender and the aioli that came with it. Since I went, I believe they've changed the dip.. now it comes with some apple bacon salsa + goat cheese fondue. Can you say overindulge? Yes, we ordered another round to take upstairs! The other food that waiters were bringing around looked so esthetically appealing that I needed to dash before I started ordering more yumyums. They have a crazy eclectic menu so if you're daring (and not a vegetarian), try this place out NOW.

Tom Berry is probably the most underrated chef in Boston. He's constantly varying the menu, consistently churning out food that you would get at 5 star restaurant at 1/2 the price. Temple Bar is a great place to go for any occasion, be it a date or out with a group of friends. Always a cool and fun vibe, with great food and drinks.

The food at Oleana is exceptional. Everything has several layers of spices and flavors that all work amazingly well together and each bite exposes new tastes. The food is unique and fresh and perfectly balanced. In the summer many come for the gorgeous garden, and even on a cool night the lamps keep you warm and blankets are on hand to fight the chill. Everyone deserves to eat at least one meal here in their life.

I love this restaurant. Not only is the food amazing, but the servers are friendly, there is good live music and the place itself is very warm and welcoming. The buffet is always beautifully decorated and there's a large variety of food to choose from. The meats come to your table sizzling straight from the grill. After having all you can eat you would think it couldn't possibly get any better.. and then the desserts come around! They are so tempting, my husband and I just had to try one. We didn't regret it! I definitely recommend this excellent restaurant, the experience is unforgettable!

I was very excited to stumble across tiny little Olecito outside Inman Square. I had given up on Boston Mexican food, after 4 burrito joints took over Harvard Square. However good, they are all the same, and all their menu items taste the same, whether it be fish, chicken or steak, wrapped, folded or fried. Olecito has variety of flavor, and fresh tasting cuisine. Yes, the have burritos, but I would encourage you to eat here off the beaten path.... try the Baja taco with fried shrimp and pickled cabbage or mexican style sandwich, called a torta. And true to the rest of the place, even their salsa is unique. A smoky blend of cooked tomatoes and peppers. Thumbs up to Olecito for being brave enough to add some variety!

Went here on a date just before the Christmas holiday. The trendy awning advertising Abbruzzan cuisine had piqued our interest. When we arrived, we found that atmosphere inside wasn't as cozy as it had looked from the outside, and we were surprised to find that the place was pretty empty on a Saturday night. However, the staff was gracious, and the food did not disappoint. We heartily enjoyed the squash ravioli with saffron sauce and veal marsala. The food was well done and delicious - particularly for its reasonable price. The house wine was also pretty good. Overall, we really enjoyed our evening there.

Really spot on! Excellent selection for a reasonable price. Harvard Square jewel, especially for private event. Bless the managers here. The guy next to us sent his salmon back three times without even tasting it (looked perfect to me). I think one might conclude that the guy just doesn't like salmon (or he was trying to impress his date). Either way, the managers really blew me away with their attentiveness. Great service from everyone on the staff. Will return!

First, this place is small, so call for a reservation. That said the atmosphere is fantastic. The big thing though is the food, prepared by Chef Jason Bond is just amazing. Using locally sourced ingredients this guy prepares mind blowing meals. Put this place on the top of your must try list!

Izzy's Restaurant sucks. The restaurant is small. The staff is not the best. The servers are overweight you know that they are eating a lot because Izzy's food is fattening. The guy at the counter is nice but again it's not enough to give this place more than one star. There is no room at all in there. I asked myself all the time why do people even go there? What do they like about this place and their nasty and tasteless food. I still can't believe this place is still open. Let me first say that most hispanic food is gross. It's too salty and taste nasty. Izzy's is a puerto-rican restaurant. Puertoricans can't cook. Why do their food is nasty let me tell you. My mother's friend is a great cook but lately she has been sick and can't cook. She lives next to Izzy's restaurant so she wanted me to order from them couple times. Every single times I was disappointed. She wanted a soup, some meat, I got some plantains, something called a potato fries. The soup was disgusting, it had not salt at all. I want a tasty soup not a soup that tastes like a hospital soup. The meat my goodness how do they get away with that. All of their meat pork, beef, chicken had no taste no salt nothing nada. I rather go to Camie's even if they are not the best haitian restaurant. Haitian can cook puertoricans can't. The rice was plain again no taste at all. The plantains same no salt, tasteless, they added a yellow sauce with it. The sauce tasted like someone threw up in it. Their sweet plantains are so sweet and so greasy, they looked so ugly. That potato fries thing was not yummy, it's called a potato fried and it has meat in it. I wanted a plain potato why did it have meat?? It was so gross it tasted like vomit. Their salad is gross and has too much sauce that of course they did not make. The worst part of their food. One time I had some white rice and beans on the side it was not cooked beans they got the beans from a can. I know my food and I know when is real cooked beans and when it's canned beans. Another day I got a rice that was mixed with beans again same thing I knew it was canned beans and the whole thing with rice was Nasty. This is unacceptable for a restaurant to serve canned beans. Haitian restaurant don't do that serve people canned beans. I was shocked to see that many people ordering food from them and all the tables were busy and full with people. The tables and chairs are so small and they have a plastic cloths on them. The whole restaurant has pictures of people all over the walls. They are really trying hard to make people think that they are the best restaurant in Cambridge. Customers were mixed blacks, hispanics and whites and a lot of black teenagers. Again I was really shocked. I also don't understand why so many haitian cab drivers eat here. Haitian restaurant are 10 times better than this nasty place. Haitian restaurants serve real and tasty food. Maybe the cabbies are too lazy to go to Somerville or other places to get real food and they are left with nasty puertorican food. I rather eat at home or order from Mcdonald's or Camie's. My mother's friend asked us to get some food for a third time there and my mother and I refused to go. We told her no way never again. I rather go hungry for days. I told her just give me the money I will eat at home and I will save it or get myself a pedicure with it. I see a lot of stars for this garbage restaurant. After 31 clueless reviews I am the one who tell you like it is. Finally this place is getting a real one star. Truereview here to tell you the truth

This was such a great night out! We planned to go early and drop the kids at a friend's house for a little dinner and playdate. We got to the bar when they opened at 5:30. We were not exhausted and were ready to enjoy a nice drink and some great food. I had a Caiparinha (so good !) he had a Guiness. We enjoyed a pressed Cuban sandwich (I think the best in town), fritters with a guava bbq sauce and a spicy aoli, and a stacked crab salad/cake type thing with mashed potatoes (cold but good) avocado, and fresh tasty crab. Their salsa is amazing (had to ask for more) and the chips were plantains crisped to a chip! Yum! We're already scheduling another night out here...saw so many takeout orders too! Who would think? Take out a Cuban if you can't drop the kids at a friends.

Besides the food being amazing, I love love love that the outdoor patio opens up to Harvard! What a great scene - a little piece of Boston history in your line of sight while enjoying a lunch or dinner. There's always an interesting mix of people as well - everyone from students, to professors, to regular working people. \r \r The crab cakes and the Pear Salad are delicious, and the butternut squash risotto is SO GOOD. I always have trouble making a decision when I eat at Grafton Street!
