I have also had many, many din...

I have also had many, many dinners at this restaurant, and the ones associated with these owners. I have NEVER even been a little sick from eating their food, well I take that back. I have been so sick, from eating everything on my plate, because it was so good I couldn't stop myself. I was so full I just wanted to go lay down. It is always delicious. It is always way too much food, and the cost to me is just fine. I would rather pay a little more for delicious food, than pay less for something that taste horrible. I have ordered many different things on their menu, and one thing is just as good as the last. The chips and salsa are never watery or bland, I would guess its homemade because its so damn delicious. Definitely not out of a bottle or jar. Their appetizers are always hot and wonderful. Their margaritas, are to die for. We always get the pitcher, (top shelf) and its very reasonably priced for less than $20. My all around favorite thing to eat is their Mixed Fajitas & Shrimp Chimichanga. Deliciouso!!!! BTW the mixed fajitas for two are more like fajitas for a family of four. Their waiters and waitresses are always very friendly and very accommodating. I think the review from the disgruntled customer, I suspect may be from the competition. I have never been sick from this food and would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy authentic and delicious Mexican cooking. We are getting ready to head there now, was on here checking their hours and saw the negative review, and I just had to respond. I LOVE this place.

Delicious!

Ok first off... HAHA to the negative review. The food poisoning thing, really?!?!? Food tampered with... Come on now. We have been a strong follower of the owners of this restaurant for many, many years. They're reliable and out of the probably 500 times I've dined in their places I've never, ever gotten sick nor anyone I've been with.

Now, after I got that laugh out of my system on to the real review. I've been to Compadres several times now.

Food is delicious, you get a ton of food and it is very well seasoned! Cheese dip is perfectly spicy and it is a slightly thin when it comes out but it's piping hot but when it cools a minute or two it thickens up great. But, I tend to like thinner cheese, not a big clump of cheese on my chips.

The fajitas are the best! The vegetables are always caramelized perfect and there is always more than enough to bring home for breakfast egg omelet or lunch.

The chicken are my favorite but the Fajitas Mexicana are delicious too! That's a mixed plate with all meats on it. Pork, chicken, beef, shrimp and chorizo. Ridiculous amount of food!

For drinks the Paloma is great! Traditional Mexican drink. Just wish it came in a pitcher size!!!

They have a fried banana that my husband adores!

Anywho, give them a try and you won't regret it. Food is delicious! And best yet... It's a family owned business.

This is a fairly new restaurant. My girlfriend and I went for dinner and margaritas. The top shelf pitcher of margaritas were one of the best in the area. We eat regularly at many Mexican restaurants in the same area and these drinks were very very good. I ordered the fish tacos and they were definitely the best I have ever had in the area. They were served with a gravy (they called it) that was very delicious. We also ordered the cheese dip, salsa verde and a chicken fajita quesadilla which were all delicious also. We went for dinner and drinks and then enjoyed ourselves next door dancing at The Clubhouse. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Overall
The worst food, even worse service

I rarely write negative reviews, it has to be really bad for me to do that. This restaurant is so awful. We gave it two tries to be fair and it's horrific. The fajitas and salsa are bland, the cheese dip is runnier than skim milk and has zero taste. The prices are too expensive even with a coupon. The server VERONICA (Vero) was so blatantly rude because we had to ask someone else for refills. Then she decided it would be fun for her to ignore us completely while giving us dirty looks. We never saw her once after she took our order. Had to ask the chip guy for a box and the lady up front for the check. I told the lady up front about the service, but she did not seem to care. The chip man, an older gentleman, was very nice but could only help us with a few things. I also ended up getting food poisoning from this place. ended up in the ER. The doctors thought my food had been tampered with. Probably from the mean waitress, Veronica.unless you like bland food, mean waitresses and expensive food poisoning AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!
