Philly Steak & Sub

As a philly transplant I've been looking for a real Philly cheesesteak. A coworker told me about this place I actually drove 22 miles to check it out . I have to say it was very disappointing , the steak was ok but as anyone from philly knows the bread makes the sandwich and that is where they failed big time. The idea that amoroso bread is the bread used by philly places is dead wrong. Amoroso bread is bag bread, the bread has to be crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Real Philly stores like pats genius and tony lukes(the big three) use bread from small bakery's in south philly. So bottom line a rating of fair.

My husband is from the Philly area and he said that they weren't as good as the real thing BUT they are the BEST he's had in FL. We rode our motorcycles from Haines City and we will most likely take the ride again. You havet o try the Funnell cakes 2 It was great.

The best philly cheesesteaks. The cheese fries are also great. Call ahead of time since they are closed some days and close early sometimes. Cash only place. A must try.
