Town to Town Movers
So I went online and Town to Town was the first to pop up on my search engine.I gave them a call and these ladies were great even though I asked them way to many questions! lol They gave me the comfort of emailing me all the numbers that we spoke about over the phone which is very nice because they actually explain what is going on so you wont have any surprises. Hourly rate was very fair for 3 men. They actually called me to double check I am all set the day before, also giving me instructions and tips on new moves (which helped me a lot because I have never hired a moving company)The men showed up, very well dressed and punctual. I was actually surprised how well they worked together to get the job done ! They wrapped my items in blankets so nothing got damaged. They even offered to dis-assemble my beds (thank god) they put my fear at ease honestly, I will always recommend Town to Town Movers!

We hired Town to Town Movers to move us to our new home recently. We were very cautious when hiring a moving company, because we have a grand piano that has been in our family for a long time, and it was damaged during its last move. Dave came out to our home and gave us an estimate for our move, and assured us that there wouldn't be any issues moving the piano and gave us a price quote. On the day of the move the movers showed up on time and everything went nice and smooth. The price quote was accurate, the movers were friendly, and best of all our family heirloom made it to it's new home in perfect condition. Thanks for a successful move Town To Town.

the satisfactory process started with the frequent calls from Laurie ensuring everything would be on schedule. Moving day Dave and Damien arrived on schedule. They assessed the furniture and began.During the whole process they were very professional, careful not to cause any damage. On arrival at our new home the same attitude and professionalism prevailed. At no time was there any question that they were not concerned for our property. Both men vey pleasant and mild mannered. We had the utmost trust in them. Certainly we recommend them 100% if you are looking for a moving company.

I knew yesterday morning when my movers arrived 20 minutes early (my kind of people) that I would be giving them a glowing rating. Eight hours of non-stop hustling furniture and boxes out of my apartment and into my new home, and not a single thing damaged or scratched. To top it off, the guys were all extremely patient and kind to my 11 y/o son (who is autistic and really, really wanted to help). I highly recommend this company and thank you so much for all of your hard work!

what a wonderful job Matt and his crew did with our move on Monday. Despite the rain all day the move went flawlessly. I was amazed that nothing got wet, even our clothes weren't wrinkled! We were also impressed with their professional manner and politeness, made all the more impressive because of the cold and rain they worked in all day long.Thank you, your staff, and Matt's crew for making a stressful day easier!

We had a great experience with this professional local moving company. We have a grand piano that has been in the family for a long time, that we were concerned about relocating. The movers seemed very experienced moving pianos and moved the piano without any issues. The movers were professional, arrived on time, and the quote was exactly what they said that it was.

I really appreciate this company and its operation, they are very professional and dedicated to getting the job done. I'm thankful they were so understanding of all my complications with my closing date on purchasing my new home when booking. The movers were friendly happy guys that worked their tales off. Will recommend to family and friends relocating for sure!

It has been a pleasure having used your company the third time. Mike, Manny and June(not sure of spelling) were professional, non stop hard working, polite and most considerate in handling our things. I have also over the past recommended your company to others with great feed back. Thanks to all for a job well done.

Town to Town Movers
We used Town to Town last year for a move. They were on time, professional, friendly and very careful with our furniture. We even had them move a baby grand piano and they did it with ease! Unexpectedly, we are relocating and we are absolutely calling Town to Town in again to move us. Very happy with their services.

Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
