Just recently moved a moderately long distance with Becker Movers ( around 75 miles ) and I am very glad I chose their company. After reading all the horrible reviews online I was a little nervous but Becker had moved my parents 4 years prior and it went awesome. My moving team, Corey and Al were two of the most polite, hardworking young men I have ever encountered. They took special care of all my fragile items and worked very quickly on an extremely hot, humid day. After the move I was missing a small fan and bathroom scale so I called the office. Had a great interaction with the staff who checked twice to see if it could be located. Days later I found these items stuck into a laundry basket by my boyfreind. Prompt, courteous and reasonably priced, if you are moving call Becker, they ROCK!

Becker Movers
They did a good job for us and worked hard but we had an issue with two missing large cups of coins one of which was all quarters so the total amount based on past experience would have been about 50 - 75 dollars. We called and reported the issue and they said they'd look into it but never followed through. A few weeks later as we were cleaning out the final few items we found the cups, empty, pushed to the back of a bathroom vanity. We called again, they said they'd look into it and again, nothing. We can't prove this happened of course. All we were trying to do was was alert them that someone on the crew is a thief. A 'thanks for letting us know' and a 'we'll be watching that crew closely' would have been enough. If you use them remove anything of any value and move it yourself.

I wanted a relocating company that should be capable of understanding my expectations in the best possible manner. Communication is very important because without proper communication you can never convey your requirements and in this regard Blake and his team excel. They not only explain everything in detail, but also make sure that all the queries as well as concerns of their customers can be answered to satisfaction. All my belongings were given the proper treatment which they deserve and the best part is that I had a convincing moving free from all complications and issues.

One of the most professional moving service we ever experienced since our last 5 shifting’s. It has never been easy to manage moving so many things with 4 children. But discovering Relocation R Us gave us an ease and we were able to move from New Jersey to our new house in Florida without any stress. Blake and Jerry reached our home before the decided time and assisted us in packing all our furniture with extra care. The most exciting part of the moving was that we were relieved of the shifting process in just 2 days!

I had to move in a limited time period but I had low savings so it meant that my budget was low. I thought that it will become very difficult for me to find a good relocating company so my hopes were very low to be honest. We had an especially stressful move as the apartment we intended to move into was not ready and we had to postpone our move and find a new place. When the movers did come to load our stuff we had not confirmed the new location. Moveco was helpful in advising us and stored our possessions overnight while we confirmed our new location, at no extra charge. They did an expert job of loading, packing, and unloading, and were prompt, helpful, and efficient. I highly recommend them.

I was recommended by a friend to consider Relocation R Us for moving from Rochester to Memphis. My husband and I were worried about the safe shifting of all our furniture because we were moving to another state. But we were surprised to see their professional service, especially Sammy .They skillfully managed all the packing and shifting. I hired Relocation R US to offer me a helping hand in moving to my new apartment from Penfield to Ashburn, VA. Despite of the fact that I give them a limited time for moving, they excellently managed to shift all my furniture with the best care. I also had many delicate decorations that required much more care in packing and handling. Could not ask for a better move! Jon was my sales representative. I asked him a ton of questions. He answered all them every step of the way. The price was very accurate and the delivery in Florida took place 5 days after everything was picked up in New York. That was right in my schedule. Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
