Bob's Tree Service
I just had Bob's Tree Service of Ocala, Florida remove a large cedar tree with a stump grind and thin out a huge live oak. Bob's showed up on time and with several men and pieces of equipment. Only a couple of hours later and they were done. Before they left they cleaned up a ton of debris and hauled everything away. These guys know what they are doing and have tree service down to a science. Every cut, even on the large oak tree limbs was flat and smooth. I also liked that I received a written estimate long before work began as well. Neighbors all like the way the oak tree came out as well. I could go on and on but I think I have made my point. If you should need tree service I would recommend you give Bob's Tree Service a call. I am sure you will be impressed!Photo below is before oak tree was trimmed and thinned.

Conrad Tree Services
I couldn't find any reviews on Conrad Tree Service when I was shopping around, so I was a little hesitant. However, Tom was great when we met for the quote, and the pricing was fair. The crew that showed up was courteous and hard working. The weather held them back from finishing the 4 huge oaks around my house in one day, but they were there first thing the next morning to wrap it up. Cleaned up the mess really good, and handled requests with ease. I would highly recommend these guys for their professionalism.David from Ocala Fl.

Bob's Tree Service
Bob's Trees, in 45 minutes they had 4-40foot palms down and were gone. All of this in a down pour pre hurricane If Ocala gets the predicted winds tonight, my Cousin will certainly sleep better, since 3 out of 4 were struck by lightening and dead! We have dodged a big bullet! Great job!!!

Pride Tree Service Inc.
since I used to be the climber for this company back in the early nineties, I can say with all confidence that Duane is a competant, honest, tree man. Tell him Dennis sent you!
Tips & Advices
Do your due diligence and always ask for proof of insurance and certification before agreeing to any work. You will also want to be on the lookout for telltale signs of scams and be cautious of any company that:
  • Will not provide you with a certificate of their insurance policy or only has general liability coverage
  • Declines to give you a written estimate for the job
  • Gives you bids that either seem very low or very high
  • Contacted you out of the blue to see if you needed their services
  • Has complaints against it from business bureaus in your area
  • Asks for payment before starting work
  • Doesn't have a fixed physical address
Tree service companies are also great places to get your wood if you happen to have a fireplace. Many tree businesses offer free delivery and stacking of hardwoods, such as maple or birch. These can make for the best firewood because they burn slowly and don't produce as much smoke as other types.
If you want to add to the greenery in your yard but you're concerned about the right species to plant or where to put it on your property, seek the advice of an arborist.
If a storm hits and damages your residence, a tree service professional is usually on your list of people to call for help after first responders and your insurer. A professional service can completely remove a tree or just prune and saw off its branches if a storm damages a tree. After sawing or destroying the tree, professionals can then remove any of the dangerous debris from your yard by hauling it off.
Some bugs burrow through the bark and damage hardwood and softwood trees. Depending on the species of trees in your yard and the region of the country you live in, aphids, the infamous emerald ash borer or other pests could destroy your healthy trees.
