My school hosted our annual prom here and everything was wonderful. My school also went with their in-house production company to decorate the space ,and the illuminated high top tables and ottomans really enhanced the atmosphere and made it a great party.

B'way Dive saved my a**. Bottom line. Reasonable drinks and real New Yorkers. Lots of cool people from all over as well. Killer bar staff, I'll be back to this neighborhood just for this little retreat. Very refreshing spot to unwind after a day of walking the city. I felt like a regular after three nights hanging at the B'way. Love this spot. Good selection of micros - just like home.

I was planning for my birthday when a colleague recommended Flute. I looked into them hosting my party and was not disappointed. The manager who set up everything was terrific in helping me plan the event and the staff treated us very well. It's a great space and my friends and I enjoyed the variety of their champagne list. I will definitely be back.

Big back room with pool, darts, big buck hunter, tv's. Good bartenders on the weekend(the only time I can go), Tanya and Milea. Owner and her husband are good people. Kind people here and although the regulars are tight knit, they always make newcomers feel welcome. Back deck with grills is great, especially during sunlight hours. Back deck would be a great place to have a 10-35 person party, which I think they do. If you want the feel of a great neighborhood bar and want to avoid some of the crowds of 2nd ave, go here!!

I love Lit and Max Brennan is easily the coolest bar owner around. He's always friendly and totally down to earth. I read the hate mail reviews and i couldn't believe they were talking about Max.\r He's always accomodating to all bands, my band included. I found out why these guys were hating.\r It turns out Psycho 78 played Lit and drew 100 people but the time was running late and the soundman\r cut their set short. the crowd freaked out at the soundman. so Max gets all the hate mail because he's the owner and he booked the band. Hardly fair. Maybe the band should've played longer but to blame all this on Max is not cool. It turns out he wasn't even at the club. Anyway I don't know where he got all his money from\r but thank god he opened a cool venue for bands to play at instead of spending his time up in the Hamptons. Lit is the last of the cool venues in the East Village and the sound is awesome.\r Also the sound people are cool and Lit always pay bands fairly.\r No complaints here from this musician. Thanks a lot Max don't listen to the crazies.

I like to be up on the latest hot spots and so I jumped at the chance to go to this new restaurant. That is until I heard it was an English pub. I like to eat veggie so I wasn't going for the fish and chips fare. I managed to score some fried cauliflower and broccoli with cheese. Kind of stuck to my ribs, but it was tasty going down. So was the Reisling Kabinett. I think I had 5 glasses I'm embarrassed to say. Score one for the Brits.

Depending on the normal ceiling top bar and depending on other opinions, my think is that if I were composing a evaluation for a Sunday evening, it'd be very inadequate but that's real of most locations, no? Such is why I'm a satisfied time young lady only. No collections, less douche-bags, and low objectives makes for a more enjoyable evening.

Kanvas is great any day of the week because of their great happy hour specials and they also have an out door cafe perfect for the great weather that has finally arrived, but I love it on the weekends! They have a great DJ on Saturday night and they are one of the few places left in the city that don't charge a cover! I recomend this place to anyone looking for a hassel free fun weekend!\r

I was there with my friend for the first time and we found out that at this place they have good food-sushi is amazing, hookers (a lot of favours), DJ plays every night,\r beside there are two floors! We like it a lot! It was a lot of fun!

Hosted a bachelorette party here for a friend last night, and we had a blast! They technically don't take reservations, but said if I called the day of, they'd hold a table for our group of 7. Went off without a hitch. Our friendly waitress even took a polaroid of our group and put it in a little frame for the bride-to-be to take home. The margaritas were killer, the food was just what it should have been--love those tater tots! Fun, colorful place, great for a low-key party.

I've always been fond of Madame X's decor, cocktails, and garden area, so I decided to have my bachelor/bachelorette party there. Amy was so helpful and had many options to reserve a space for our party at very reasonable prices. When we arrived right away Meg took us to our couch and shooed away some other customers to free up our reserved space (always happy when staff takes care of this sort of thing without prompting or drama). From then on Meg was very attentive and friendly, fair and reasonable; the perfect cocktail waitress! When we got a little too rowdy she gently and politely checked us and we immediately stepped back into line. ;) We had a really great time, the bartenders were also awesome, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to host our bachelor/bachelorette party! :)

I planned my best friends bachelorette dinner at Aroma and couldn't have been happier. The event planner Allene was absolutely amazing and beyond accommodating and friendly! The event was this past weekend and it was FLAWLESS! The food was incredible along with the service and atmosphere! I would recommend Aroma to anyone that wants an amazing dinning experience along with real authentic food! I can't put into words how marvelous the staff was! I look forward to planning another event or going for dinner!

I'm not sure if I should trust all these negative comments that I see for Duvet because ppl who are having a good time don't usually take the time to write reviews. I mean if the club disses you because you don't adhere to the dresscode, is that not your fault? These same ppl who got ""dissed"" and will stop at nothing to write complaints about the venue. \r \r I went with 3 of my girls and the line was really long -at first. But it moved rather quickly and we got inside for free before 12am and the party was already rockin! Drinks were around $12 which is the norm and we partied til the break of dawn! There were ppl on the beds, on the dance floor, around the huge bar and on the stage dancing like there was no tomorrow. I had a great time and enjoyed the vibes! \r \r I'm not quite sure what these negative comments are coming from but if you're not having a good time then don't deflamate the club...blame yourselves!

Gotham won me over with the $25 Prix Fixe restaurant week lunch in February (note that the 3-course lunch deal is now running at $31, which is still a steal!). The food was exquisite, the service impeccable and the atmosphere elegant (with a tad corporate air feel). I loved the refreshing chilled melon salad to start off with. Then the delightful miso-marinated cod with spring vegetables and foamy purée tasted light and healthy. But the winner was the grilled hanger steak with baby carrots and crispy fingerling potatoes bordelaise sauce; so perfectly cooked, tender and well-seasoned. And to top it off, the Gotham warm chocolate cake left an indelible impression on my mind as the best chocolate dessert I can remember to date. Tip: Every Monday, Gotham invite diners to bring their own bottle of wine from the featured region of the $75 prix fixe uncorked menu, without the customary corkage fee. In March, the theme is Spain.

If you're a steak lover, you must check this place out! The meat is cooked to perfection. You order medium-well, they bring you medium-well. You order rare-medium, they bring you rare-medium. You..., you get the point. 5 stars by default. I wish you could rate them higher.

I've been to Plan B twice on Friday nights and both experiences were consistently good. One of Fridays the DJ was amazing and mixed different types of music really well (mainly hip hop with some other cool stuff mixed in). I like Plan B as a low key place to hang out without all the pomp and circumstance of the city. I still like the uppity, cutesy lounges but this place I think is a nice balance and also a great area. Better to get there early since it's not a huge location. I've gotten there at 1 and it was fine, but it's just more ideal to get there earlier.
