AAA Mike Todisco's Moving & Storage Inc.
My husband and I used Penske Truck Rentals for our recent move after buying a home in Titusville, FL. I wanted to provide feedback for an awesome experience. From the initial contact by phone to schedule the truck, 2 more calls to change the dates, and right through dropping the truck off after our move..... we received excellent customer service and helpful, kind and caring people. For anyone who has made a big move, you know how exhausting and stressful this time can be. To have people who will go out of their way to make things easier and affordable for you was such a blessing for us. I wish that I had the ladies name from the original call center who initially scheduled for us, the lady who helped change the date a few days later and the man from Orlando that was confirming our reservation. All very helpful. I want to make a special comment about how helpful Stephanie McGeary from AAA Mike Todisco's Moving and Storage in West Melbourne was in making sure that we had the right sized truck for out move and adding an extra day since we were not able to return the truck over the weekend at the one-way location in Titusville. We are also thankful to Ms. A. Boothe at Prestige Self Storage in Titusville for honoring the verbal agreement that we would not be charged for additional hours prior on the day of return. We would highly recommend using Penske Truck Rentals (particularly from AAA Mike Todisco's Moving and Storage, Inc) for your moving or truck rental needs.

Florida Moving Systems
We used Florida Moving Systems for our local move from Melbourne to Satellite Beach a few weeks ago. It was probably the best moving experience we have had. The estimator listened to us and the crew was so nice. They were professional all the way around. I would recommend this company to anybody that is planning to move. There was no surprises, and they did everything they promised. Great company. They even gave me free boxes from their warehouse that were barely used. I just pulled up and they loaded up my truck. Very nice people. Keep it up!

I have used Just Good Movers twice. Both times were more than a positive experience. Staff is professional & personable. Very efficient and attentive to detail. They take great pride in their work and are very responsible and reliable. All of my furniture and belongings were moved without any damage done to them or my home. I would definitely use them again.

As a former Air Force officer , and Gavin moved over a dozen times in my career , thus was by far the best move I ever had . The crews were on time , courteous , and very professional. My thanks to Cliff , Dan , and Gino, for a job well done . If I ever move again , or have friends moving , I will reccommend them without reservation .

Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
