Richard Parker Plumbing
Richard Parker plumbing is great for small jobs but not so much with bid jobs. My issues with them are two fold. If they go out to do a job and with in a day or two have to go back out they bill you for both trips - if the job was done completely and correctly the first time the second trip would not have been necessary. Secondly if a bid is given - whether verbal or written they should stand behind that bid - they do not. I understand that there are things that can change but any and all changes above the bid should be approved or they should not be billed. When a bid more than doubles and the only communications was regarding the rental of a piece of equipment that is a huge problem.Don't get me wrong the quality of their work is very good but the quality of the bids and their communication is very bad. I have worked with other plumbers that if I had to call back to an address for the exact same issue in less than a week did not charge. Not they way Richard Parker does business

Diversified Plumbing
I needed my garbage disposal replaced, I called Diversified Plumbing, since they had a team already in Marshall they could get to me on their way back to Longview. The guys arrived promptly, were very courteous, clean, well mannered, very knowledgeable, worked conjointly, just all around great service. They cleaned up when they were finished and removed the old unit and parts when they left, and everything was returned to its original place under the sink, and the bill was a couple of dollars less than I was told it would be. I will be using them again to do some bathroom remodeling.

Pither Plumbing Co
Outstanding service! I had to have my main sewer line cleaned after a clogged toilet caused backflow to the bathtub. Ron and his apprenticeship were knowledgeable, fast, courteous, and professional. And the rate is more than reasonable. Highly recommended!

The owner is a very blunt person but his work is superb. I've used this service 4 times over the past 8 years from problems ranging to a wobbly toilet to snaking out my showers. Their work is good and always done right.

Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
