Shine Dental
Dr. Swapna and her staff were a breath of fresh air after searching for a good dentist for over two years since my move from Fremont area . Dr. Swapna is very thorough and explains things in a manner that you can understand and make sound decisions from. I have been dealing with Dr. Swapna for over few months now, and have had her do both my routine check-ups, replace fillings, and some extensive workDr swapna has been meticulous about going over what I need to have done, why it's necessary, and the different options available to me. Handling the paper work, the scheduling, the financing, everything was easily handled by Dr Swapna office staff. They take a personal interest in your situation, so you really feel like you're dealing with friends. So if you're looking for dentist in Fremont, there is no better place then shine dental. It's best Fremont dental office. As long as I live in Fremont , I will never go to another dentist.

Never in my life have I ever encountered a dentist I enjoy and trust than Dr. Alvarez. It's a running joke in the dental office, I come to relax here away from my pressures of my own office. He's professional, incredibly skilled in what he does, and his constant smile soothes any nerves one might have. Sergio, Lola, and the rest of the dental staff are great as well. If I could give them ten stars, I would.

Today was my second visit and I'm thrilled with the service I get. It's always very professional yet friendly like a neighborhood dentist should beI look forward to getting my dentures because Cecelia has done such a great job of making the initial molds I know they're going to fit beautifully. I look forward to my next visit in three weeks for my first fitting.

Dental Comfort
I've been coming here for several years and Dr. Anu Sharma and her staff have been great every single time! It's a very modern office and doesn't even feel like a dental office. Thanks Dr. Sharma!

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
