I went to Kool Smiles today with a broken tooth. The reception staff were very friendly and the children in the waiting room looked like they were having a blast on the jungle gym. After a quick consultation, Stacy A and Dr. Malla went over all of my medical info and told me what my options were. They treated me with respect and kept me fully aware of what an extraction was going to be like and what was going on when it was being performed. Stacy A was hilarious and made me feel so comfortable during a procedure I had never experienced before. Dr. Malla was friendly, nice, and I could tell that she genuinely wanted me to feel comfortable. I didn't feel any pain and I am so glad I went... they even accomodated me by getting me in earlier than my original appointment, which I was extremely grateful for. This experience was positive for me and I would recommend Kool Smiles on Pleasant St. in Fall River to everyone I know!

I love the convenience of scheduling both my daughters at the same time. I needed to use the phone to call for my ride back home and Joe at the front desk was very nice about allowing me.. It was closing time and said he would wait until I was picked up but that wasn't necessary.. Before he left he asked my girls and I if we needed to use the rest rooms and even gave me his card with his cell phone number on in just in case my ride didn't come.. How nice was that?? Going to the dentist isn't a very pleasant experience, however the staff here is very nice and extremely compassionate.. I also like the fact they see the whole family here and getting an appointment is very easy.. I definitely would recommend going there. It's not every day you find people that truly care. Well I found kool smiles:)

My girls have been going here for years but, this last time my youngest went was horrible. She needed 3 teeth pulled so her adult teeth could come in. She was in a lot of pain. We always allow her to check herself in and the women behind the desk seemed annoyed, Didnt get better from there. Our appt. was for 1pm well, we did not get in til almost 4. they need to work on the schdruling. So lets just say My youngest was not feeling it by the time she got in. Stacy is always good with my girl and when she saw her she was so happy that she gave her a hug. the rest of her appt. went smooth. There was a nice new dentist (a young black doc that I forgot to get her name) But she is awesome with kids and Stacy well that woman is a saint... which means the world to my Autistic daughter.

I have bring bringing my 5 children to this office for several months, despite the fact there is a closer location to our home. The office manager Joe is absolutely fantastic and remembers us all each time we arrive. He takes great care to make sure my children are comfortable and eases my worries, giving my honest answers and showing genuine concern. The entire staff is patient, compassionate, and knowledgeable, paying close attention to the needs of both my children and myself. Going to the dentist is no longer a huge stress for any of us, and our oral health has improved simply by being patients in this office. Highly recommend, this place is top notch!

I made an appointment for my daughter because she was complaining of toothache, for some reason they had us waiting for a clining, the wait was almost 75minutes which I think it's too much for a 3 year old. The staff at the front desk also need to learn manners. I just can't believe how they sent an email saying "we can't wait to see you, when they even said good morning when we got there, not even a smile. I had to complaint for her to be seen. Besides this the dentist was nice and very pro Fe sin AL with my daughter, but it was an unpleasant experience.

Although the office was having some technical difficulties with the computers today, they still managed to see my son complete his cleaning and keep the positive energy like nothing was wrong. These girls pulled together and had great communication our whole visit and kept their word and called me with the next appointment for my son to start his fillings. Thanks Roxy and Natasha for keeping your word and we look forward to our visit next week.

I had brought my kids to Kool Smiles back when they took children only. That was mostly why I decided to try them out for myself when I had a broken molar that needed to be extracted. They were wonderful. They eased my mind for the most part (I still have an irrational fear of the dentist) and the extraction was quick. They used plenty of Novacaine (which I tend to need a lot more of vs. normal people) and it was absolutely painless.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
