YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

For several years now Bookworks has been my favorite small bookstore in the city. I like the intelligent selections and the deceptively large stock for such a small space. The latter is probably because they run the place as a store and not a museum of print, and don't fill the shelves with some of the junk other bookstores allow to pile up. And the kicker here is the steady flow of review copies and other ""new"" books available at remainder-like prices. That plus the store is well-lit, clean and has aisles wide enough to accomodate multiple browsers ... not your typical dusty-attic style used bookstore.

I do not normally write reviews but I felt the need to write this when I saw how bad the reviews for this store were. Honestly, these people have been in business since the 70's and are near city hall. If anything shady were going on there they would have been shut down a long time ago. The staff seem a little young but they are knowledgeable. I have been in a few times recently with gold coins and they treated me well. They generally seem no-nonsense, clear and private which is fine because when making a transaction with high value, I don't want a lot of chit-chat. Their prices are pretty good on both the buy and the sell side or at least as good as some other places in the city. My only suggestion for this store would be to put a buzzard at the door because twice while I was in the store some unsavory and loud people came in which made me feel a little uncomfortable. I know you have to serve the public but I think putting a buzzard or something on the door may make people realize that they are in a professional establishment and they should alter their demeanor.

I love shopping at St. Peter's! They have a huge variety of merchandise in a relatively compact space. The prices are reasonable and the staff is immensely helpful. If you're looking for rosaries, books, CD's, jewelery, etc. this is the place that has all-things-Catholic. It's by far my favorite Catholic shop.
