Xpress Moving VanLines, Corp.
My childhood friend gave me xpress moving van lines’s number and strongly recommended their name when I was looking for an affordable and reliable moving company. I called them and talked with their sales team about the matter. They were very attentive and also asked me some questions to know about the nature of the move. They also came at my place just 2 days before the move to check what their movers will be up against. I liked their seriousness and commitment. They quoted me a price which was well within my budget and in fact cheaper than what some other moving companies were charging. On the day of the move the movers showed up on time. They started the move very carefully but they were never running behind the schedule. They were good to wrap, move and store all my belongings at the new place. I was amazed after checking my inventory. All the glass crockery, painting; basically expensive and fragile stuff was carefully wrapped. I did not find a single scratch at anything!! I was also very happy with the amount that I paid for the move was a value for money arrangement. So, if you also looking to move only choose xpress moving van lines.

I was thoroughly pleased with xpress moving van lines throughout the entire process!! The contacting agent was extremely helpful and accurately judged my moving needs with an in-home visit. He was also very friendly and made calls to check on the progress of the move. The driver was also very helpful, friendly, and extremely respective of my items. He and his partner wrapped everything with care. The items got to my destination ahead of me and arrangements were made for delivery on my time. They were very accommodating on my time schedule with my new place, with no additional charges or hassles. On delivery day, NO ITEM WAS DAMAGED AT ALL! It was the same driver and a different assistant. Again, very courteous, friendly, and respective of my items and place. Their pricing for a binding estimate was actually less than other company’s offers yet, I got so much more - in-home packing for special items, and service. They are the only moving company I would ever use again and would recommend them highly to my friends, family, and strangers. In fact, I already have recommended them to other moving families. I was referred by a family member.

TB Moving
I used TBmoving for my move from Brooklyn to Manhattan on Mach 7. Everything about the service was exceptional quality. They were friendly and professional. They arrived on time, and packed up the truck very efficiently. I had a parking spot reserved for the moving truck at my destination, but of course it was occupied when we arrived. They improvised without complaint and got the job done. I was moving into a ground-level unit, I had told them upon reserving the company that there were no stairs to go up or down. I had a few pieces of large furniture, including a very large and very heavy armoire that did not fit through the ground-level entrance. Without a complaint or a second thought, the men took these large and heavy pieces up a flight of stairs, and then back down another flight.

All of my furniture and boxes arrived undamaged; the men helped me set up everything exactly where I wanted it. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company; they are the best Brooklyn movers. I have used other local moving companies before and never had such a good experience. I am so grateful to have found them!

I used xpress moving van lines and I had to share my experience. I have moved several times before and this is by far the best moving company and the best team of workers I have ever used. When I called the company, I talked to Fred, their salesman at the office, who was really helpful and friendly and he showed me clearly that my interest and my questions were his highest priority. He explained me the entire moving process and went over all the information with me and half an hour after our talk, he sent me an email confirming everything we spoke about. So, I booked the time frame. On the moving day, the moving team showed up on time and behaved in a very professional way. Not only were they professional team of workers, but they were also very nice, courteous and friendly. They showed up with a smile and all the requests I had were fulfilled by these people with no problem. Should I mention that they were super careful with my stuff and that nothing got damaged! Excellent customer service! To sum up, these are the best movers I have ever used and I would recommend them to everyone!

Nyc Greenline Movers
I could not be more impressed with the service I received from Greenline. I had never hired movers so I was a bit nervous about what to expect, but these guys were fantastic. On top of being the cheapest quote out of 4 other companies I contacted, the service was impeccable. John and his crew arrived at 8:50am to park the car on the busy two way street I lived on in the Upper East Side. They began moving at 9am sharp and did not complain once when they realized I had a LOT of stuff for a NYC studio apt. They wrapped the furniture with expert care and not one item was ever damaged or scratched. John even helped my mother take down my complicated Ikea curtain rod because we did not have an allen wrench-talk about above and beyond. John could not have been more friendly, helpful or nice. My mom talked about how great the crew was for about 2 days after the move. The truck was packed so professionally and quickly. They unloaded at my new apartment so quickly. I could not recommend them any more highly. I am sure I will have to move again and will DEFINITELY be calling Greenline.

I would like to add my five stars to the pile that xpress moving van lines already has. This shows how good and professional this company is. I talked to their sales rep Josh, who gave me the precise quote, the accurate date and time and impressive answers to all my questions. On the moving day, the foreman and two workers came to my apartment on time and wrapped all my things, and I can say that the crews were very professional and enthusiastic about the job and treated me in a very nice way. Their customer service was on a high level. They are very hardworking and very friendly crew. My kitchen equipment was wrapped very carefully, especially my new microwave which was shrink-wrapped. Nothing got damaged or lost. I even had a new set of a table and four chairs for my dining room and everything stayed intact. I can only praise the job they did. It is very important to have a stress-free move and you will get it with xpress moving van lines no matter if it is a local or a long distance move.

Why people use professional movers? I am sure that everyone knows the answer but the problem is how many of these so called movers are capable of managing moves. However, I never had a tolerable experience with professional movers. I tried several different moving companies over the years but the result was same until I used xpress moving van lines. Yesterday, finally I got what I looked for. Movers were very punctual. They came on time with all necessary tools and they were 100% ready for the move. They knew what they were up against and they were ready to manage the odds. Movers did a terrific job while moving, wrapping and storing. They were doing everything effortlessly. I can bet any amount that these movers are highly experienced and know all little tricks of a successful move. That is why I got a picture perfect move within the quoted time and amount. I would also like to thank their sales guy Rony for offering me such a great deal and for ensuring a perfect move.

I heard a lot about the awesome service and reasonable price of xpress moving van lines from my friends. So, when I needed to relocate to NYC from NJ I decided to go for them. I called them and discussed my move with their sales guy Fred. He was smartly figured out my needs and asked many questions to know about the nature of the move. He never pushed me to hire xpress moving and never asked for advance payment. However, their quote seemed to be reasonable. I gave them the job and they responded equally well to the task. Their movers did display their skills and abilities during the packing and moving of my goods. There were a lot of fragile and sensitive items and a very heavy sofa and few other heavy stuffs as well but nothing caused any damage or delay. They moved the goods a lot before the allotted time and also delivered everything in one piece and without a scratch and charged within the quoted amount. Now that is what I call real professionalism.

US Power Moving
I hired US Power Moving to move my furniture and a couch from a friend in Staten Island to my apartment in Brooklyn. Unlike a lot of other places, they offered a very reasonable fee and were quickly responsive via email. They picked my stuff up at the other end, brought it right to my door (found their way through my apartment building, found the freight elevator, all without me having to do anything - that's actually unusual.) Unfortunately, when they got to my door, we found that everything fit but my couch! They went out of their way to try a thousand different ways to get this thing through the door, and eventually succeeded by unscrewing one leg and getting really creative about the angle. I had thought it would be an easy job for them but it ended up being a lot more complicated. They were nothing but polite and helpful and worked hard to find a solution to the problem at hand. These movers will be my first call next time.

Everyone knows that relocation is by no means fun, but the crew of xpress moving van lines put us at ease first thing in the morning, the move day. They made sure that we were relaxed by assuring us that everything was going to go well throughout the day. Each of them worked hard and was polite, considerate and extremely careful with our belongings. They carried some heavy stuff for sure and were always careful of walls and doorways. We had a total of 2 storage unites in their storage facility, as well as an extra truckload delivered to my parent’s house. Xpress moving van lines offered us the first month in storage for free, which was a great discount. In total, they were very efficient, gave us a full package of service and made the move happen as quickly as possible. I would recommend that you go for this company. I will definitely ask for them again when my stuff gets delivered to my new house out of storage! Thanks again!
Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
