Move It!
This business did a great job of moving my salon 3 months ago and home last week! I have had a lot of poor moving experiences in the past with moving companies, so when I first talked to them and they said they would treat my stuff like their own; I of course was a little hesitant to believe them. Move It! definitely ended up proving me wrong and did an amazing job. The two guys that did my move, I don't remember their names, did an outstanding job of being quick and efficient as well as protecting my items with shrink wrap and moving blankets. Last week I also hired them to move after we bought a new home and they did a great job then as well. It was nice to have an alternative too two men and a truck. Thanks again Move it! I will definitely pass on your name to my friends and family. I should also mention that they did just change their name to Move it!; it was previously RK Moving. I believe they said no one could remember the name so they changed it to something easier....either way thanks again!

Pat's Movin and Haulin - Your Next Mover!
AMAZING!!! I moved out of state and I was hesitant on hiring a company to do my move. I heard nothing but horror stories about other companies losing and breaking things and not to mention how expensive it is. Pats Moving and Hauling was recommended to me by a close friend so I decided to give them a try. WOW!! I am amazed at the level of professionalism demonstrated by Pat and his crew. All my property was wrapped and packaged / boxed with so much care that you would of thought they were packing there own stuff. All my property and belongings arrived on time, and unpacked without ANY damage. I couldn't of done that my self. I Highly recommend Pats Moving and Hauling for any move short or long distance. A Great Big Thank You to Pat Long and his amazing Crew. I will be using you again!!!

Pat's Movin and Haulin - Your Next Mover!
i can't say enough good things about Pat's Movin and Haulin! I had some very heavy fencing material that I needed moved just a few houses. I was referred to Pat's & gave him a call. His crew came out the next morning. They were prompt, courteous, friendly, funny & contrary to many other movers I've used in the past, Pat's guys made short work of a heavy task. I will ABSOLUTELY use them for any moving task I have in the future and highly recommend them!!

Move It!
Move It helped our family move yesterday. We have lived in the same home for 25 years and we had ALOT of stuff. I was expecting it to take much longer then it did. The guys did a wonderful job and packed, loaded the trucks, and moved us very efficiently. I am still amazed at how much stuff we had! We will defiantly be using them again in a couple months when we move out of our temporary rental and into our new build!

Pat's Movin and Haulin - Your Next Mover!
Simply the best. I never write reviews but I had to tell you about Dave and Phill and a couple of others guys that helped out. Very professional and most of all they busted there ass off. I had a ton of heavy furniture and a basement full of very expensive glass and figurines. They were fast and careful with everything. I would recommend Pats to anyone. Thanks again Pat.

Move It!
I can not thank you enough! Move It saved me on a last minute move to our storage unit in early Feb. I had hired other movers and they called the day before to cancel because their vehicle broke down early that day. I called Move It a and they were able to fit me in their schedule. Thank you so much. I will definitely be calling you again once I empty our unit out.

Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
