V I P Dog And Cat Grooming Salon

Very disappointed! Hated the way the dog looked when i got her back. I asked only for a trim and i got a dog that was almost completely shaved. I even showed them a picture of how i wanted it done. At some parts of the head it is not even at all. I think i could have done a better job myself. When i told her that it seemed really short

, she said she is going to write a note for next time, as if there is going to be a next time after this. What upset me even more is the fact the dog seemed very unhappy and not herself. Usually she is very playful and very excited when she sees me. She showed no emotion when i got her. I felt like she was sedated. So overall bad experience. Definitely not going back. they really need to look up the meaning of the word TRIM!

Approach with caution. Years ago I took my dogs there and they were wonderful. Two months ago I took my dogs there for a trim and when I picked them up, they both had been shaved. They had beautiful hair that was very well maintained. Their coats are ruined. My two beautiful Pomeranians look like shaved rats.

My cat is 18 and was very matted. I asked for her to get a lion cut. She can get grumpy at times. The lady who did her hair cut did a awesome job. I will be a return customer.

Awesome crew here. We took 3 cats (2 of ours and 1 for mom) here last Summer to shave their Summer Fur coats shaved rather than clean up the fur-balls off the carpet.



When we returned to pick them up, all 3 were calm and looked great. You can tell when pets like people and ours surely liked and had no fear at this place. Thanks....

We take our cat and dog at the same time. The ladies are very nice. When I leave I know Tom and Jerry are going to be Ok. Tom and Jerry are like our Kids, to which we would NEVER EVER put at risk. I tell everyone who owns a pet to trust the Vop grooming/.

This place is awesome! My dog loves the people who work here and I always feel like I get more than my money's worth. They are very friendly and helpful. I recently moved 3 hours away but I will get my dog groomed at VIP when I go visit my parents. I will not go anywhere else.

I haven't been to Pet City down the street but due to the fact that they sell puppies I will never recommend them.

Do not go there! You go in knowing what you want. They suggest something else and first time there....they are the experts....so okay. when I picked up my 2 puppies I let her know they were not short enough and she said she would put this on the chart for next time. When I called to have her cut more and I went into the shop I was told I would have to pay again! This is how they make their money......you have to bring them back every month because they do what they want, not what you asked for. I will never go back and will not recommend them to anyone. Go down the street to pet city!

I have searched for a good grooming place to take my dog. She hated getting groomed and would put the brakes on at the door and was shaking like crazy where I used to take her and that was many places. I just couldn't find a place that treated her right and were interested in her and her feelings. After doing some research on the internet and talking to my Vet and other people at the Vet's office I was recommended to the VIP Salon. My research online even brought up that the VIP Salon was rated #1 in Wayne Co, and #2 in MI. They have a newspaper interview that says they have been family owned and in business for 42 years now. In fact one of the groomers is the daughter of the owners. Her name is Sue and she is the manager. All of the ladies there are fantastic and you can tell how much they love grooming and my dog always comes home happy and now pulls me in the door to go in and get groomed. I have seen many dogs go in and out of there and they are all happy and look great. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other salons I have been to in the past. They always do such a great job on my dog and she smells great for quite a while. I have requested different types of haircuts after seeing other dogs there and they always take the time to do a counsultation to let me know if that type of haircut would work with my girl. If I forgot to ask them to trim her tail or ears or anything and I remember when I see her, they are always happy to do it right then. They really go out of their way to make sure you are happy and she is happy. If they ever find something on her that needs attention like ear, eye, or any other problems they make sure to tell me so I can take her to the Vet. One day I was taking my dog there I actually saw my Vet bringing his dog there to be groomed. That impressed me! They have recently updated the business and it looks so nice. It is always clean and smells good (I think that says a lot for a business that deals with stinky, dirty dogs coming in all day.) One thing I do want to say is to make an appointment, some times they tell I can come in that same day or the next day and saturdays seem to be really busy. I can't say enough about the groomers and their dedication. You can request a certain groomer and there is no extra charge. I have Sue as my girls groomer. She has been a groomer for the past 37 years and makes my baby girl look wonderful everytime. My girl can't wait to see her, she loves and kisses her as if she was her own dog. Sometimes my little girl wants to cling onto Sue and doesn't want to come to me. What does that say about how she is treated? I feel so comfortable leaving my girl with her and would never change to anyone else ever giving her a grooming. If you want to feel secure about taking your dog anywhere for a haircut I just can't say enough about the VIP Salon. Take your precious pet there, you will never be more pleased and nor will your pet. I could go on and on and I'm sure their other clients would say the same thing.

Oh, one more thing. They only do grooming services, they do not have any supplies for sale but they will recommend what kind of supplies and where you can get them.
