The Detail Shop

I dropped off my vehicle and thought it was in good hands until my radio screen got severely scratched up. When I picked up my vehicle it was dark out. The next day in the morning when I was leaving for work I noticed my radio screen was severely scratched. I went back up there thinking the owner Charlie would fix the situation but instead he gave me a hard time. He was rude disrespectful beyond words he threw a fit and went inside of his business and stated he had to go cool off before he does something. I don’t no how this place is still in business with that type of owner. I never have ever been so disrespected in my life. I sat in my vehicle for a while and cried thinking how someone could be like that to a person especially a owner of a business. So here I am letting everyone no about this guy Charlie the owner of The Detail Shop in Wyandotte of my experience with this place. BEWARE!! If you value your vehicle I would HIGHLY recommend not using this place.

To the public: Yes this review is for you, but its also to help this business get better.
- Likes: I like how its kinda informal around the joint, what I mean is you can customize your own detail package - for mine I just got my interior windows and carpet cleaned. And they did a decent job. But I'm not completely satisfied, here is why...
Windows: They did not get the adhesive stripes off my back glass, maybe they missed it but I don't expect a detail shop to miss things that are not very well hidden. They also left swirls or a thin film on the backglass that I will need to clean off so almost a failing grade there
Carpet: Seems they did a good job on my carpet HOWEVER they either do not own commercial dehumidifiers or they refuse to use them and instead Ran My Car engine and heat for at least 90 minutes to dry the carpet. Used 1/8 tank of gas. Its really bad for a vehicle to idle that long and shame on them for using the customers gas and stressing the customers ride to help them fulfil their shortcoming.
Building: They need to have a meeting with all employees to tell them to tell all customers that the detail shop backs up to an alley that can be used for parking. They did not do that with me and I ended up impeding traffic on eureka to park and talk with them about setting up future service.
