Eczema
At Fairfax Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Clinic, we understand that dry itchy skin can put a damper on almost any activity, as well as keep you and your family up all night! Our providers have special training in the treatment of atopic dermatitis and other allergic rashes. We also pride ourselves on the special care that we provide to our pediatric patients with eczema, especially as it relates to food allergy.

Eosinophilic esophagitis (EE or EoE) is a disorder characterized by the presence of a large quantity of eosinophils, which are a special type of white blood cell, in the lining of the stomach or esophagus (the tube that carries food from the mouth to the stomach). Symptoms vary widely, but may include chest pain, difficulty swallowing, vomiting, a feeling of "food getting stuck in the throat," and poor weight gain in children. The board certified allergists at Fairfax Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Clinic have experience dealing with this complicated disorder, and can perform both traditional allergy testing as well as newer patch testing methods as part of a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment program.
