C B Carpet & Upholstery

Based on my one-time experience with C&B carpet and the employee, Vic, I do not recommend this company. C&B were sent to assess the carpet in the rental home by the employee from Invitation Homes, Brian. I recently moved into a rental property where the old carpet in the formal living room had excessive wear and tear in the area that meets up with the newly installed carpet in the family room. The seam of the old carpet kept lifting up when vacuumed in 3 different areas which included where the old carpet met the new carpet, by the garage door where the tile begins, and by the front entry way. Vic was sent by the rental property company to assess the carpet and fix, replace, and/or patch the area. When I showed him the carpet seams and the extreme matting and excessive wear of the area, he told me that the carpet is good for another 10-15 years and that it did not need replacement but rather a quick fix of the seams. He decided to stretch and cut the old carpet at the seams and placed a thick layer of carpet glue to blend the new carpet with the old carpet. The carpet is now in worse shape that it was before. Vic used so much glue on the seams that not only does the carpet not blend into the other carpet, but the seam is prominently visible and you can feel the hardened glue as you walk through that area. A new carpet company was sent to us the other day to assess the "fix" by Vic and C&B, and said that the carpet needs replacing and that the seams should not have been glued like they were. I do not recommend C&B company, especially, Vic. He was arrogant and his carpet repairing work was lousy.
