BE PREPARED TO GET SCREWED ON LABOR $$$ I purchased a gas range last week and needed my existing gas line extended up to my kitchen. Called around and decided on Yankee because of their reasonable $80/hr labor rates.Two guys arrived at 10:30 as planned and got to work immediately. They worked until about 11:15, at which point one of their tools broke on my front lawn, they spent the next 30 minutes or so fixing it. At 12:00 they told me they needed to go pick up parts and would return in 15 minutes to finish up. An hour later, at 1pm one man returned and had the job wrapped up. I was very pleased with their work, my stove work great.I just got the bill yesterday, they billed me $315 for labor! 1 hour for 2 techs at 115/hr and 2.5 hours for 1 tech at $80 hr. They spent a max of 2 hours installing my gas line. I called about this and was given a line by line explanation with no help. Should have been $200 for labor, max. BEWARE of RIDICULOUS labor charges.
