A Plus Groomery

I've been taking my dogs to Kathy since 2001. Kathy is always pleasant and accommodating to me and my schedule. My dogs come back smelling so much better!! We have three schnauzer's and I like her work. Have I ever had any problems with her cuts? Maybe a bit too close a few times, but hair grows back! She only does small dogs, I'm told. I would recommend, Ms. Kathy.

I just moved here from Colorado Springs, CO to Wichita Falls just a month ago and needed to get my dogs groomed. I decided to go with A Plus Groomery on K-mart drive and quickly realized that this is a low budget groomer. My Scottish terrier came back with his ears shaven. Scottish terriers according to AKC standards don't have their ear hair shaven complete off. My West Highland terriers' mane had been carefully shaped and took years to grow his hair out due to a mistake made when he was a puppy so I specifically instructed the owner (Kathy Fields) to leave my Westie's hair long and told her to just shape it accordingly. She cut so much of his hair that I would have to start all over again to get it back where it was. Oh and remember to bring cash because they don't except checks or cards. I discovered this after I came back to pick them up and had to leave for the second time because they weren't ready in the 5 hours they were there. There were no signs saying that they don't except credit cards. The only signs they had said that they did not except checks. The owner told me if I had read the signs that I would have known that and I told her that I had but I never once asked to write a check. Nowhere in her shop does it say CASH ONLY. She then Realized the mistake she made in pointing out the signs that mentioned no checks. Then she gave me change out of her wad of cash from her pocket. For lack of a better word I call that Getto. If you want your dogs washed and you don't care about the cut they are given then it is an alright little shop. If you expect a little more then go elsewhere because you almost have to write it out in crayon to be understood. So A Plus Groomery gets a D plus in my book.
