Papoo's Coney Island

We have been going to Papoo's since they have opened at least twice a week. We have alway's been greeted when we come in by their very friendly staff. Their staff is very well trained, and very helpfull. The food is very good and reasonable. The place is spotless, the menu has a great variety of items. I feel it's the best "new" diner that has been in the Whitehouse, Waterville area in years! If you like Taziki...wait till you try their new homemade yumm!

Went here for all you can eat spaghetti on Thursday, it was excellent! Have been here many times since they've opened and I have yet to eat something I don't like. We just love that we have a place like this to eat in Whitehouse. Everyone is so welcoming whenever we go in to eat & the restaurant is so clean. We've tried the gyros(which are amazing!), coney's, chili mac, phillys, fried chicken dinner, spaghetti, breakfast & it's always been really good. So glad you guys are here! Keep up the great service and we hope you are here for a long time!

I have been twice. Both experiences have led to the conclusion, I will not be back. The menu is large, I first ordered the chicken parm. The marinara was right out of a can and extremely bland. Pasta was over cooked, and the chicken had the taste of nothing. No spice or seasoning to it. I ordered a side salad with no tomatoes. For $2.99 I was served ice berg lettuce and a cup of dressing. I wasn't expecting five star dining, but a bit of flavor would be nice. Today I had a gyro. It was good, but by no means the best I have had. My husband had the chicken kabob platter, served with the blandest rice I have ever tasted. His chicken kabob( only one) was merely grilled chicken, green peppers, onion, and tomato. Nothing spectacular. For $8 I was surprised the amount of chicken was so minimal. The side he chose with his meal was mashed potatoes and cole slaw. We were not aware it was served with the bland rice. The potatoes were instant, and had an unappealing color. The coleslaw was extremely runny. Two chances, not a good experience either time. We won't be back. I was really looking forward to a place like this in whitehouse too. We drive to wing station in swanton a lot for gyros.
