Hometown Animal Hospital

Jan Bellows is an absolute disgrace to the veterinary medical community. I made the mistake of taking my 2 year old German Shepherd to this clown to repair cracked teeth he received during training. This moron apparently thought is was ok after his surgery to leave him in a kennel when he wasn't even up from the anesthesia. They took him out of the kennel when they saw he wasn't breathing!
He tried to tell us that my dog may have a heart condition that day which would explain why he passed away.

Bellows didn't know my dog was certified and titled in health and performance with the AD title 12.5KM FCI Internationale Endurance test for working dogs along with IPO,SchH, KKL.

Bellows enthusiastically suggested he send him for a necropsy, because "very badly" wanted to know what really happened even though he had admitted he didn't have a freezer large enough for him. Alternatively he suggested, "I could take my dog home and bury him in the backyard."


I agreed for him to send him, and nine weeks later low and behold, the necropsy comes back with my dog having moderate to severe cardiomyopathy. Just as you said Bellows..You are a genius.
Maybe if you had just done a better job of covering up all your past associations with the Wizard of Claws national lawsuit, everyone else might believe you.

Stay far away from Dr. Jan Bellows!! He killed my beautiful, sweet, dog! I took him in for dental work and my boy never woke up.
This was a healthy dog with NO medical issues!!
This isn't the first time he killed a dog. I just wish I had known this before taking my dog there. Please, please stay away from this Vet!!!

I am extremely disappointed at this place, I took my 14 year old boxer and as far as I can recall he was in better shape before going to see them compared to when he was given back to me the same day. He came back home under a lot of stress, and stopped eating completely, and had an unstoppable diarrhea, which he didn't have before. Multiple x-rays were taken with no definite diagnosis. I just saw my dog going downhill quickly. I called this place again informing them that my dog couldn't suffer anymore and I wanted someone to reach out to me. After THREE hours anxiously waiting, I decided to take my dog to another clinic. I left a message informing them that I was going to take care of my dog by taking him to be put to sleep. Nobody reach out to me.Hometown Animal Hospital clearly was not there for me and my dog when we needed them the most. There is absolutely NO LOVING CARE whatsoever. They appeared and act like a full 100 % money oriented business and LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM

Their lack of transparency of the prices, especially before taking my dog out of my possession, made me feel very uncomfortable and pressured. I called to get an estimate on the price of a dental cleaning for my dog. They said that it depends on the condition of my dogs teeth and I needed to come in for a consultation. They did not mention that the consultation would cost $135.25 for them to check my dogs heart rate, ask me about my dog, and take some pictures on their iPhone of my dogs teeth. They took my dog into the back and gave us a bill of $1377.38, and that's with no complications and without getting any teeth pulled! Upon comparison to other vets in the area, the prices at this vet are exorbitantly high, especially for a routine dental cleaning!

I've been to this place twice and we are very satisfied with the service. Very efficient and friendly staff. Highly recommend it.

Our American Stradforshire pet Sake was diagnosed to have a cracked and infected canine. Dr. Bellows proceeded to do a root canal that svaed her tooh and proceeded to place a stainless steel crown. Now when she smiales, she shows her "grill".

I AM NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN! they have no idea how to handle anything.. they abused my animal.. i cant do anything about it.. and Dr.Bellows office take advantage of abuseing everyone espeacially over pricing.. GO THERE IF U WANT FAKE @SS PEOPLE ABUSING YOUR ANIMALS! AND YOUR WALLET
