Criminal Defense
After obtaining his law degree, Luis returned to South Florida, where his passion for zealous courtroom advocacy and helping others, led him to work as a criminal defense attorney at the Broward County Public Defender’s office. Luis began in the Juvenile Division, working his way up to the Felony Division where he represented clients on charges up to second-degree felonies—i.e., charges where clients faced up to fifteen years in Florida state prison. Luis learned to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and developed his skills as a litigator by writing and arguing countless motions in court, leading weekly depositions, conducting pretrial discovery, and handling many other general litigation matters while maintaining communication with his clients.
DUI/DWI
Steven began his career at the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s where he was a prosecutor for over 6 years gaining valuable trial experience during that time. Steven prosecuted numerous cases in the County Court Division, Felony Trial Unit, and Major Violent Crimes Division-Traffic Homicide Division. Steven was the Deputy Chief of County Court who was responsible for 6 county court divisions, certified legal interns, special prosecutors, and training new attorneys and law enforcement. In 2009, Steven received an award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) for his outstanding work in the prosecution of DUI cases.
Wrongful Death
Over the years, David has shown the ability to obtain significant settlements for clients in a wide array of cases. For example, one of his cases, a wrongful death/product liability case, settled for a confidential seven-figure amount. In another case, he wrote an appeal which successfully persuaded the Fourth District Court of Appeal to overturn a circuit court decision, which ultimately resulted in a six-figure settlement for his client. Further, in a Personal Injury Protection case, David vigorously litigated the case up until the eve of trial, which resulted in the largest settlement of such a case in the firm’s history. Additionally, he also obtained a significant six-figure settlement in the firm’s first ever snow skier negligence case.
Misdemeanors
In 1995, John returned to Palm Beach County and began working as an attorney for the office of the Public Defender. As an assistant Public Defender John gained valuable trial experience in both the misdemeanor and felony divisions.
Murder
Earlier in his career, Jonathan was a prosecutor for the Palm Beach County State Attorneys’ Office where he prosecuted crimes ranging from DUI to murder. In 2003 he earned the State Attorney’s Award for Dedicated Service.
