East High School offers classes in various subjects through its departments that include business and information technology, English, world languages, family and consumer sciences, marketing education, mathematics, science, social studies and technology education. The school also offers classes in fine arts, music, and health and physical education. Its fully equipped library has a large collection of books on various topics and other audiovisual reference materials. The school offers various sports programs, such as football, soccer, field hockey, cross country, golf, volleyball, rugby, basketball, wrestling, swimming, lacrosse, baseball, tennis, softball and athletics. It also organizes various student clubs and activities, including fashion club, National Honor Society, poetry club, ski club, yearbook, thespian society and science Olympiad. The school operates a parent-teacher association and provides guidance and counseling to students. Located in West Chester, Pa., the school operates under the guidelines set by the West Chester Area School District.
