Midmichigan Health Park-West Branch

I went for a first time visit with Dr Shaffer at the West Branch Campus. My prior MD moved so I needed a new provider. We were looking forward to meeting him until he came into the room. He had an attitude that would embarrass his mother. He stated the reason he didn't like taking on older patients is when they come in taking gabapentin among other medications he has set up his medical practice as one not willing to see patients for issues like restless leg syndrome insomnia, which I have. None of the medications I use are new I have been on them for years and I am in good health as long as I stay on the regime I have been using. He didn't even want to sit and discuss it more with us. He said he would refer me to approximately three other physicians right off. We definitely would not recommend this MD. He has an attitude that is "his way or no way" I just want people to know he is rude .
