Soba Sushi & Noodle

I have been to Soba Sushi & Noodle 5 times now; both for lunch and dinner. I LOVE this place! The Sweetheart Roll is my favorite but I also like the Black Pearl Roll. The Pad Thai is delicious and cooked just right. Everything is clean and the restaurant is well lit but cozy. The owner, although she doesn't speak perfect English, is SO friendly and attentive. She checked on us several times every time we were there, to make sure everything was ok. The presentation of the food is fun and festive and the sushi is absolutely gorgeous, fresh and tasty. I would highly recommend a visit to Weaverville for this restaurant!

Our visit to SOBA on 8/13/13 resulted in my husband going to the Dr. as an emergency patient for a peanut allergy. He ordered a noodle dish with shrimp and almond sauce. He took one bite and knew it was peanut sauce. He asked the waiter and he said yes, it was peanut sauce. Obviously, SOBA doesn't know the difference and are unaware of the seriousness of peanut allergies! This is a MUST in the restaurant business. We had our lunch packed up and told several people about the problem; they were sorry but not that concerned. We didn't even get the '"tainted" dish gratis. We left and immediately went to the drugstore for Benadryl, then to the doc for further allergy treatment. This was NOT a pleasant lunch experience and we will NOT return to SOBA.

phenomenal! sushi was excellent! I called an hour before open but I'm assuming the owner answered, very sweet when I told her I wouldn't be able to leave to pick up an order because I was at work and that was when we got super busy at my shop. she went above and beyond, had her hostess call me back right when they opened take my order and bring it to me! now that's great customer service! they do not do delivery I'm sure this won't be a regular thing that they are able to do but I am over ecstatic that she cared enough to do me such a great favor. I'm glad they came to town and I plan on being a regular!

Overall it was fantastic food. Services was great and always being there when we needed something. Will go back for sure.

Tried this place out based on recommendation from my friend. I was thoroughly impressed, and will definitely be back.I ordered their sushi and sashimis were very fresh and reasonable price.All in all, everything was good. Service was ok and very polite.

The food was great and prices were cheap. They need a better host. There are afew kinks they need to work out but they have only been open one week. Happy they are in town and will return.

Nice atmosphere. Food was good, hot, plentiful and at a good price but took entirely too long to arrive. Ordered at the exact same time as another table of 2 and our food took 15 minutes longer than theirs. We ended up with only 10 minutes to eat before we had to be back at work from the hour lunch. Wait staff seems every inexperienced. Seemed like too many servers and not enough help in the kitchen. Asked for a carryout menu so that we could call ahead next time and was told they didn't have any. Tried to find one online so I could call ahead today and can't. :( Also they don't offer unsweet ice tea. Keep those diabetics in mind!

The food is good and that's about it. The service is horrible. A bunch of people who have never waited tables before that don't know the first thing about hospitality. American young male host with glasses told us when we entered he had to go take an order before he could seat us and left us standing at the door. When we were finally seated (we had to ask to be seated) it took 10 minutes before we saw a waiter. The bathroom light was off. The cleaning supplies cabinet across from the bathroom open for all to see. It seems like if you open a new restaurant you would hire people who could run it for you when you weren't there ,,,not people who don't have a clue.

Very happy with Soba!! Came for lunch after reading reviews on here, and was surprised how delicious everything was. Lots of food, inexpensive, friendly service, and overall delectable dishes!

Wow. I went for lunch then I went back for dinner in one day. How great to get noodles made like they are supposed to be! Dining on the terrace is just great. The sushi is FRESH and the prices are very reasonable

Got a to go menu. It didn't have the phone number and the number on the Internet was wrong. Went and placed my take out order in person. 3 rolls took 20 minutes. Not bad sushi, but I've had better.

Service was a bit slow, but we were there on opening night. Everyone was pleasant and the cooked food we ordered was good. The sushi was really good. Impressive... Especially for Weaverville
