Established in 1966, the Greenwood Rural Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency services for the town of Weatherford, Texas. It maintains a fleet of fire engines, tankers, brush trucks and utility vehicles. The department has more than 20 firefighters and a group of auxiliary members who provide support for the department. It provides its staff with training related to fire management and emergency medical services. The Greenwood Rural Volunteer Fire Department organizes fundraising activities and is located in Weatherford, Texas.
