        Specialist in Orthodontics for Children, Teens and Adults of all Ages! Dr. Hovda has had extensive training in the field of orthodontics (braces, straightening teeth). Dr. Hovda graduated with high honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD; graduated with high honors with a Dental Science Degree (DDS) from the University of Iowa; then received a Masters Degree in the Specialty of Orthodontics at the University of Iowa after two years of specialized training and residency in Orthodontics, also with the highest honors. Dr. Hovda has also received specialized training at the Roth/Williams Institute for Equilibration Specialization, which is the specialty of occlusion (how you bite together). Dr. Hovda researches each patient's bite (how a person bites stogether), and customizes an individual orthodontic treatment plan which is unique for each and every patient . When the patient is done with treatment, they have a beautiful new, straight smile, and a perfect occlusion (bite).         DR. HOVDA IS THE BEST ORTHODONTIST!

        THANKS A MILLION, DR. HOVDA AND STAFF!! My new smile has changed my life! Girls are looking at me differently now, and I am smiling ALL THE TIME! HIS TWO beautiful, state-of-the art offices in TWO GREAT locations in Wausau and Merrill were a snap to get to from the Eagle River area. Dr. Hovda and his friendly staff were always so great to explain each step of my treatment to me and were more than happy to answer any questions I had at anytime. If I would call about something, Dr. Hovda and his great staff were always happy to take the time to answer any question or concern I had all through my treatment! I couldn't have had a better experience! I will send all my friends to Dr. Hovda and am always happy to tell them that Dr. Hovda is the best orthodontist to go to for the best smile possible to enjoy for a lifetime! THANKS AGAIN, DR.
