Our waitress, Anna, was a complete sweetheart, and very helpful.



The food was good. Not stellar, but good. Very Midwestern America. Solid, filling, simple.



I left unsatisfied however, because the 'management', who is evidently the boss' son, is rude, and insulting to customers within their earshot if they question their bill. I felt we were overcharged on my child's meal ($5.50 for one pancake with strawberries and bananas and an additional $1.99 for bacon... for a SIX-YEAR-OLD!), and the man was very snide about it. Quote: "You wouldn't go into McDonald's and tell them you didn't want to pay that much." I ordered a 1panckae with bacon, off the 'Lite Menu', with the fruit, which should have cost an additional dollar, which would have made the total $4.99. NOT $7.49. You bet your buttons if I went into McDonalds and they overcharged me, I'd complain.



I won't be eating here again, despite the very nice waitress we had. It's just not worth the indigestion from the bad attitude of the 'boss' son'. Proof positive that nepotism is a recipe for business failure.

A personal favorite. Not 5 star but t-shirt and jeans. A total truck stop experience with 30+ years behind it. Lots of seating, huge menu, hard to decide, better than average food and generous helpings. A standard for Waupaca. not everyone will like it but I give it a 90% satisfaction rating. I have not heard of anyone who doesn't like it after we've taken visitors here. Flat parking lot, gas station attached, long term employees, fast service, usually clean tables because these people work on their shift and earn it. Medium priced with affordable breakfast . Comfortable atmosphere and lots of stuff to do in a trip, i.e. shopping, grocery shopping, scenic travel, lake district nearby, parks, fishing nearby. Usually a great experience.
