A Former Employees Perspective

In a way I can agree with Denise S. saying that that this place is hell for the children. I worked there in the infant and toddler rooms for almost one year. Biting I can tell you was a severe problem for a while. But we did address it. I know someone who still works there who keeps me up to date on how these little ones are doing. I can tell you that right now one of the main teachers they have working there is abusive. I have seen her abuse not only her own child. But those of other parents as well. The lady that Denise refers to is not mentally Handicapped. However, there was someone who is bipolar that used to work there but let me tell you she was one of the best teachers that daycare could have asked for. The owners Grandson is an issue that has been dealt with. I have not heard of there being anymore problems with his behavior in a long time. By the way the street view is over a year old it still has my 1st car in it

Lots of love and TLC

My children have been at Country Care in Waterloo for many years now. They provide a lot of tender loving care. The director puts her whole heart into her center and the kids love her dearly. YOu will see them at a school function and so excited when they see her! She goes above and beyond to get kids to swim lessons, school activies, camps, etc. b/c she realizes these things are important and sometimes difficult for working parents.

Horrible place!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD HERE! I took my child here. In one week she was bitten on the right side of her face,

pinched on the left side of her face, and bitten on her nose. Each of these were on different days. Come to find out,

they had a mentally handicapped person taking care of the 1-2 year olds unsupervised! I was told by one of my high

school students (Courtney Lawson) that this handicapped person used to put sticky notes all over the children for fun.

I was also told by another high school student that work there (Danielle Watkins) that they were always understaffed.

When I contacted the owner about all of this she denied everything and told me that the mentally handicapped person was

perfectly capable of taking care of these children. I was also told by a person who works at Douglas County West Public schools that a relative of theirs child had their arm broken there. I don't know why the state hasn't shut them down yet except that they take care of many foster parents children. Many of these children have behavioral disorders. Do not take your child here!

Hell for Children

I took my children out of this daycare after my youngest (2 years) got bitten twice two

days in a row and on the third and fourth day had pinch bruises on her neck and body.

I learned a mentally handicapped person was taking care of the toddlers and that fun for

her was putting sticky notes all over their bodies?? I knew one of the workers and was

informed by her that many times their aren't enough workers supervising the children so

many times one person is supervising 20+ children at a time. When I talked to the supervisor

Mary about my concerns she told me that they had a problem with one child biting others,

but that it had been taken care of and the pinches were from another child. I was told by

the worker who that child was, not Mary. My child's face was black and blue from bruises

from the bites and pinches! When I expressed my concerns for the third time that week

Mary informed me that I was just imagining things and it was no big deal. Her grandson,

also in the daycare, threw a full pop bottle across the room when my husband and I were

there and was never disciplined for it??!! This daycare I found out is also full of many

foster children that have many special needs. If you love, worry about and value your child(ren) "s

feelings and social development don't take them to this daycare!! It will be hell for them!

HELL FOR CHILDREN

My child got bitten twice and pinched for a week and no one there did anything about it.###Her face was all red and bruised and then I found out they had a mentally handicapped person taking###care of the toddlers!! So I pulled both my children out after I had tried to talk to the director about it three times and NOTHING was done! One worker told me the mentally handicapped lady taking care of the toddlers would put sticky notes all over the kids for fun.###Their breakfast consists of toast and chunk pineapple. How can a toddler eat chunk pineapple? Wouldn't this be a choking issue? One child asked for more toast and was told that he only got one piece. They said this right in front of me! The floors were filthy covered with boxcelder bugs and the director/owners grandson is let to throw things at other kids. This place is a Hell for Children! Most of the children there are foster children with many issues of their own to deal with. This place is hell!!
