Sanctuary Realty at Sandbridge

There's nothing better than breezing through the check-in process after a long day in traffic. Sanctuary Realty really nailed it this year: there's no waiting in line and you don't even have to leave the car. Check-out is also a breeze. The specific amenities of each unit vary, but our penthouse was extremely well stocked, nicely furnished, with spectacular views. Was the unit pricey? Sure, but we felt like we received good value for what we spent, particularly during a peak summer week. As a previous reviewer noted, there are units without direct ocean view or pool view that are available for lower prices but with access to all of the pools, grills and a very short walk to the beach.

We have stayed here twice. Once in A307 and once in B420. A307 was oceanfront and we loved it. Everything was great. But when we came back we decided to save some money and we went for B420 which has a courtyard/pool view. The savings was indeed nice, but overall I found that for us, ok... me!... I really need that ocean view. It turns out my little was was sick much of the week requiring one of us to be inside. It was excruciating! If I'd been able to sit on the deck at A307 and look at the ocean, I'd have been fine. In our case I was feeling deprived being so close but not being able to see it! That said, you get what you pay for and if a view is important to you... well... pay more! The beach is fantastic. We just love it there. It's huge! It can get a little crowded right in front of the resort, but you don't have to wander too far north or south to get a quiet spot. making reservation was easy. check in was easy. the beach is beautiful....clean and spacious...not crowded. there is a very nice children's park within 5 minutes of walking. everything was very clean....constantly saw staff out cleaning the property. staff was nice, even checked us in early. We stayed oceanfront in building B.....well worth the cost! we didn't mind the drive in and out of the main town. we drove in to shop and eat daily and it was fine. we would definitely come back!

We stayed at The Sanctuary Resort Unit A117 Island Times and we were VERY pleased with the accommodations and the resort itself. It is on the bay side with a gorgeous view of the bay the sunsets were breath taking!!! The resort is beach front so we were just steps from the beach. The Island Times is great for anyone looking for vacation spot. Our condo had everything we could want and some. All the furniture was very nice, the beds were very comfortable, linens were there for us, a flat screen TV with a DVD player in each room, games, puzzles, and books, and tons of extras. There was plenty of room for everyone. Sand bridge is very low stress very family oriented vacation in a beautiful setting. I can easily see returning to this resort each summer and we would request this same unit as well.

location is fantastic. At the end of the island, right on the beach, and a short walk to a kids playground on the beach, and a short drive (or bike) to the back bay wildlife refuge. The back bay area is good for some light mountain biking, but it is quite hot there. Across the street in the back is one of the few restaurants on Sandbridge, the Baja, that has a cool bar and a beach feel--good for watching sunsets. (There are not many restaurants and only a small general store, but off the island there are supermarkets and plenty of chain restaurants). Both pools were clean and had shallow areas for kids. There are outside bathrooms near the pools. The pool deck area is very nice with lots of chaise lounges and picnic tables.

The units we rented were always clean and had all the amenities that were advertised. Check-in anywhere can be challenging. That is why we always made it a point to arrive around 4:30. We never waited...

We rented a condo from Sanctuary realty. They are onsite and are great to work with. All the information we recieved about the units, checking in, and all the local attractions was very helpful and on target. I read some not so good reviews and we were a bit scared and I told the lady this when we were looking at different units and she was so comforting and reassuring that we would love it and well she was right we did. I know sometimes people write things out of anger in the moment and I felt like I needed to write about how wonderful our stay was. We will be back next year and please don't listen to some of the ugly stuff written...I asked about it and it was explained very well and now I understand too. Love the Sanctuary!!! I wanted to post a review here becasue I had read mixed reviews before my trip. I have to say that we had a great time! We stayed in A306 and the condo was superb! The views were amazing and the unit could not have been any better stocked. When we pulled in at 3:30 there was a tent set up and a woman approached our car. We did not even have to get out of our car. She handed us our keys and information packet right through the window! The pools were clean and open until 8 PM. we used the grills and enjoyed the tables and umbrellas for shade. The cabana bar was opening the day we left so we did not get to enjoy that but look forward to it next year. The beach was not crowded and the proximity was perfect! Water was warm! The only complaint I have has to do with bugs on the balconies that was previously mentioned. There were an above average amount of bugs on our balconies but not anything that w

One of the Best Vacations yet. The condo is well kept and spacious. We had 10 people and we all had plenty room to relax and enjoy the oceanfront views. Loved to be able to set up at the beach in the morning for most, have some in the pool and just the overall ease of getting around the resort was perfect for all ages. The only downside had nothing to do with the staff, but some of the other vacationers who had a hard time playing by the rules. Swim diapers dont really work, so it would be great if parents kept their kids in the appropriate pools. I would recommend some shades in the master penthouse bedroom, the sun is blinding when it rises and it would be nice to sleep in on a vacation. A trip to remember for a lifetime.

We came here for our 40th anniversary. The condo was a perfect place to stay! Had anything and more that we needed. A super place with great view! Thanks!!!

We stayed in a wonderful ocean front condo. OK..the beds were a bit hard...but it wasn't a big problem. The sound of he ocean in our ears helped us fall asleep quickly. The condo was clean, well equipped , and very, very clean, and had great electronics and furniture. It was beautifully decorated.. Everything worked except one overhead fan and one call to maintenance brought an amazingly quck response and a wonderful man named "Ralph" showed us how to operate it. Then, to make things even better, he cleaned all the bugs off the deck washed down the area. The bugs never came back for the week of our stay. Management was courteous . I imagine with all of us needing them at one time or another they might have seemed a but stressed at times...but they always came through and we were treated well. Anyone who can should go Sanctuary Resort, meet Ralph! You'll love him and he will take care of any problem you hae promptly...and we mean promptly!!! The girls in the office will do their best to

Excellent check in process, our unit B212 was exceptional except for some carpet stains. Pool hours are ridiculous they close at 8pm.. The beach access and surroundings are very nice. Really there is no interaction with staff unless I suppose you need something. They have an awesome excercise room.

We really enjoyed our week at the beach and staying in your beach house. We loved the view from all directions. The peaceful sound of the waves crashing on the shore is always so relaxing. The toys were perfect for our 2 and 4 year old. I'll remember next time not to bring so many from home. Thank you for sharing your home for many others to enjoy also.

This was our first time vacationing in Virginia. We all loved it! There was a total of 5. My husband and I and our 3 grandchildren. There was plenty for us to do. The children loved the beach. It was the perfect vacation. We will be returning

This was by far the best place I have ever booked. The property was beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful. The unit was awesome. The living room had comfortable furniture with a great TV and sound system. We saved a lot of time and money using the full kitchen. The bathrooms were nice and roomy. I also noticed the walls were well insulated against sound. The beach was great, and right outside the building.

t has been a long time since we have been to the Virginia Beach area. We do a beach vacation every year from Florida to the Delaware beaches. I believe that the week has been one of the most memorable of them all. Your "Infinite Horizon" is most likely the best property that we have had the pleasure to enjoy. Very beautiful - the decor is fantastic. Looking forward to next year!

Staff was great and made us feel very welcome. The resort reminds me ver much of Disney's Beach Club resort. The facility is nicely maintained and we do plan on coming back next year. The middle pool has a swim up bar and the food was very good. You also have great access to the beach here and because of the pools, there are lots of kids which is why we chose this place. Overall, a nice stay and we are going to return. While the kids pool was closed, the other two were open.
