Performance Plus Quick Lube

I went in with my used car - but it was new to me. I needed an oil change. I am used to my family handling my oil changes and car work... but this new-to-me car has all of the service history on its car fax report so I would like to continue to keep that reporting on there for a possible future owner. So I took it to performance plus because I used to go there when it was victory lane and it was easy and I never had any issues with the staff. The ladies working quickly identified me as not very knowledgeable about cars... which is true to an extent. I know enough to get just the basic work when something feels off and I might not want to trust them. So they changed my oil, talked me into getting all of my fluids topped off(which was fine). But then she "showed" me that my transmission fluid was black as black and "it should be a clear red like this". She "showed" me the same with my power steering fluid. I thought that's interesting considering my steering feels impeccably smooth. Not to mention I have no issues in sound or performance with my transmission. Hmmmm. So she told me she would give me a discount if I got my transmission flushed there. I said, no not today but I will look into it/. She wrote everything she said on the receipt - and noted all of the actions she did during that service. I come from a full family of mechanics - 3 generations in a row - so naturally, I called my father about it... he was confused and skeptical. So I drove to his house (out of town) for him to look at it. Let me tell you how pissed he was when he found out how badly they lied.... about the transmission fluid AND the power steering "fluid". They are both totally fine and look as good as new. I saw it for my own eyes. I'm bummed, because I hate finding new places to go, and my family is busy so I don't want to burden them with it every month... but I don't have a choice now if I want someone I can trust! I no longer recommend them.

Performance plus quick lube at 2411 s.airport road in traverse city Michigan is the most cleanest Quick lube we have ever visited with the most professional employees and management we have seen since texas and would highly recommend them to anyone who is in the area. Anyone who says other wise obviously does not know what the hell they are talking about and should go back to whatever wierd hole in the wall they climbed out of.:-):-):-)

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They will strip out your drain plug and act as if they had nothing to do with it! Very incompitent staff very poor management!
