        Reaching the World is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that serves the immediate needs of homeless and low income individuals and families in Washington D.C's Wards 7 and 8 and Maryland?s Prince George?s County. Our current work consists of monthly food distributions, the provision of emergency food supplies and a male youth mentoring program for juveniles transitioning out of the justice system and back into their communities. The overall goal is to provide support services that will empower individuals and families to lift themselves out of poverty and become self-sufficient. Reaching The World partners with several nonprofit, government and faith-based organizations by providing referrals to these agencies or collaborating to provide direct services to individuals and families in need.
