Vista del Sol

I could not be more disappointed with the extremely poor quality of customer service I have received at the student property Vista Del Sol at Arizona State University. In my two years at Vista, the management and staff have been highly disrespectful and unprofessional towards both me and my family on numerous occasions. I have been personally victimized by the management of this property, as well as verbally harassed and emotionally abused by one of their very own community assistants. The manager admitted to being aware of my roommate's mental disorder & promised to wave my $200 Transfer Fee if I agreed to be the one to vacate the apartment. When I went to the front desk to pick up the keys to my new apartment the managers denied ever having promised to wave the fee and refused to give me my keys until I paid the $200. Me and my family were lied to, conned and taken advantage of. These idiots are the people who represent this company .Do not sign a lease here! You can guarantee that I will be taking me & my business elsewhere. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone ever again.

I first started at ASU as a transfer student, and wanted to live in Vista del Sol because it looked cool . I checked review sites and everyone said negative things about it and i ignored it. Soon to find out I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED. Not only is the management awful, but vista will do anything they can to take and keep your money.



1. Vista can not make a roommate pairing to save the complex. They suck at it!

2. I had to switch rooms mid-semester and the room that I switched into was disgusting beyond belief. It was the most disgusting thing that I could have seen!

3. The building that I lived in had no hot water for 5 days in a row plus another 4-5 days scattered throughout the next few months. In Arizona this is illegal and the landlord should compensate the tenant for the inoperable utilities. Vista and American Campus Communities ( the company who owns Vista and now The Vue too) Shoved my letter to the side and sent it to an attorney s office that wrote me a letter saying that I will never see that money.

4. After I finally moved out, my roommate decided to stay solely because of the convenience in our same apartment. I turned in my keys and a few weeks later I received a letter in the mail stating what deposit I was receiving back and my charges. My only charge was a cleaning Kitchen fee I immediately e-mailed the complex because I know #1 that I deep cleaned before I left, #2 my old roommate was still living there and #3 she communicated with me and said she rejecting the cleaning crew because the apartment was already clean. I also called about 15-20 times and no one would answer the phone. I never heard back 10 days later, so I e-mailed again and finally the area manager Michael Polzin responded and said sorry, we ve been busy, get back to you soon . I told him once again I would be expecting to get a check in the mail for the remainder of my security deposit and his response shortened was talk to our attorney

5. No gates actually work, the security of the buildings and complex is awful

6. The mail room loses packages on a daily basis and will not refund you! ( personal experience)

I know that no one that I know has had a good experience with Vista or ACC and I strongly urge you NOT to sign a lease at this complex, you are getting yourself into a WHOLE LOT of trouble, hassle and headaches!!! Its not worth the rent, even if it were free!

Ps. You may see some goos reviews for vista and that is because they bribed all residents to write a good review for a free pizza.
