Michigan Title did the closing on a house I bought last July. I have never had a worse experience. At the closing, they had to redo the closing documents. After closing, I found out they didn't pay the city taxes. Later, I found out they missed paying the interest and penalties on the late taxes and I'm still fighting with them. They do not pay attention to the details. Highly disappointed.

Use another Title Company -Sad they allow this company to use the word Michigan in the company name. Closed a long distance property sale on Wednesday-Buyer receives the home keys - Brokers and title insurance get paid - seller not even told of a problem that came up post close. I called & emailed customer service dept and the president after the closing team promised to send the document that was holding up the release of sale proceeds. Best answer in two days " They have left the office for the day" while had two attorneys ready to go to work in Puerto Rico and Michigan to help resolve the issue. I understand the title insurance process and the funds are secure and in escrow - but a company that is not forthright is a company to avoid.

Worse title company!!! Don't use them!!! I have a friend who sold a property through this Title company and they cancelled the check that my friend was supposed to receive from the sale and he learned from his realtor (not the title company) that the title company was keeping the money in an "escrow account", without even calling him or giving him evidence or an explanation of why they were doing this. He contacted Richard, the President, as well as Barbara (VP), and Renee (Post closing) and neither of them have had the courtesy of answering his e-mail and telling him what is going on. Terrible service!!!! If you want to get things done, find another company!!!!

I had a great time working with the employees at Michigan Title. Everyone was very friendly and made the process very easy and stress free!
