Serenity Moving

Worst movers EVER!!!! The owner has absolutely NO clue. We moved from MD to DE. Was to have 2 26 ft trucks. Owner showed up 2 hours late, with 1 26ft and 1 24 ft. Mid day, I left to get the young men some lunch as it was hot. At 1:30, the owner comes to me and asks me if he could have an advance. Now it's 1:30 on a Saturday. banks close at Noon. I explained that he did not request advance at arrival and asked how much he needed. He asked for 1/2 which was $1,100!!! Why would he wait until 1:30 to ask me and why did he not mention it when I left the first time???? Red flags just started popping up. We did not have any options at that point. Thankfully, I was able to draw the money out of my account through the ATM however I made him sign for it. When we arrived in Delaware, they were to have set all our furniture back together and where we wanted it. They then "needed to get back to MD for another job the next morning" I guess we should have been grateful that he set up our bed. Our things were basically dumped in the rooms the boxes were supposed to go to. Our brand new sofa has marks all over it and we have one chair that's damaged as well. At 10pm that night, I get a call from his wife explaining that I should have wrote the check out to him directly instead of the Company. I needed to cancel out yet another check and re write in his name. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! That old saying you get what you pay for......... we should have known better! Stay away from Serenity Moving!!!!!

Terrible experience. One mover was awesome, but the second one was extremely incompetent. He was sitting the majority of the time, and just watched as the other gentleman worked. Scratched my walls. The job took twice as long as what they quoted me, thus charging me twice as much as I was quoted. If both men were competent the job could have gotten done in the time quoted. I can imagine it would have been a great experience if they had two competent movers, but being that one just sat most of the time, and that it took twice as long as what I was quoted, I would not ever recommend this company.
