The Cake House and More

The wedding cake & grooms cake we ordered for my brother's wedding arrived an hour and half after the set delivery time (1:00pm). It was 20 minutes into my brothers wedding when they FINALLY decided to show up with the cakes. His wedding was at my aunt's house and so my unlce had to miss the wedding ceremony to stand in the street to direct the cake people into the nieghbors driveway so they did not distrupt the cermony any more than they already had. My sister in law was in tears when she found out at 1:50pm that her cake had not left the store 30 minutes away. Her wedding cermony was supposed to start at 2:00pm; we delayed it 10 mintues praying the cake would arrive. My mother had to call them twice before they ever bothered to tell her what was going on with the cake. When they got to the wedding the cake people were unprepared to decorate the cake with the flowers that we had provided. This was in the agreement that my mom and the Cake House & More had setteled on, they would decorate the cake with the flowers upon arrival at the wedding. So on tuesday when my mom went to request a partial refund the owner basically told my mom it was not her fault the cake was late and there was nothing they could do. I would strongly recommend you not use this place for any event in which you want your cake delivered on time. On a positive note the cake was good but not worth the trouble and stress it put my mom and my sister in law through.
