Located in Spring Valley, N.Y., Finkelstein Memorial Library offers a wide range of books and study material, such as bestsellers, African and American fiction, children s bibliography and Jewish contemporary books to its registered members. Its local history room offers collection of Rockland County resources and more than 1,500 volumes on a variety of subjects of local interest, including town and county government, history, ecology and genealogy. It also offers newspaper clipping files, dating from the 1970s, and numerous historical photographs and maps. The library provides free wireless Internet access, books on CDs and tapes, music CDs, and videos and DVDs. It is a member of the Library Association of Rockland County, Ramapo Catskill Library System and New York Library Association. Its Web site provides basic computer and Internet tutorials, provision of downloading audio books and music; and online practice exams for various competitions, including scholastic assessment test.
