Mitchell Law Firm

An absolute nightmare to deal with. NOTHING gets done until you email or call 9,000 times, and then, you get overcharged for those very emails and phone calls. I have never been so frustrated and unsettled. I expected professionalism and some sense of stability or at the very least, to have some of my worry relieved. Instead, I felt nothing but anxiousness and worry, in the midst of something as awful as divorce. I wouldnt recommend this law firm to my worst enemy. Just the worst experience ever.

I would also caution anyone using this office. Would NOT recommend. You will have to chase down and follow-up with eveything yourself....his office will NOT be pro-active. Slow to respond. Seems as if everything goes to a "black hole"...this includes him and the office staff. Would do No Stars if that was an option.

Rick Mitchell was an outstanding attorney for me as well. He is extremely intelligent and well versed in family law. He was able to handle our extremely difficult and complicated case with the finesse that was required. He definitely cares about his clients and is devoted to getting the job done. I am forever in Rick's debt for what he has done for me and my family and don't have enough words to convey my most sincere gratitude. Although, he was not at my beckon call, since he has other clients needs to tend to as well... he was ALWAYS there when it counted. I would whole heartedly recommend Rick to anyone that is in need of this services. Thanks is just not enough...

Rick Mitchell was an outstanding attorney for me, I couldn't bear the thought of loosing custody of my children. Rick worked his tail off so that my kids and I had a chance to stay together. I feel Rick is an exceptionally bright attorney. I still owe the man money, but getting this guy paid is my top priority, because of the care that he puts into his cases, and his absolute devotion to his clients. I was amazed that some disgruntled people had some unflattering things to say about Rick. I always received a phone call from him after I called his office, and was never hard to track down. Rick helped make sure that I received extended visitation for my kids, and for that I am eternally grateful. He really works hard for fathers going through a divorce, and he always goes the extra mile for his clients. He would be my first choice if I had to go through something like this again.

He is impossible to get a hold of and as a client, you have to chase and follow-up with every matters before he even calls you back - and yes it may take days even when he knows you are in a bad situation. As an attorney, he is NOT attentive to details when supervising his staff to draft/review documents. For example, he would leave out essential details when describing the assets. It is obvious that he takes very little care reviewing the documents and then charging his client for this incompetent work.

He sounded so sincere that I believed he would fight for what was best. After he was paid he vanished. He was impossible to reach - even at crucial times when I needed advice. His office staff changes & no one in the office except for him knew anything about my case. I could never call & have a simple question answered by a secretary or paralegal. I had to wait days & weeks for him to return calls. His hourly rate is higher than even the most well known attorneys in the DFW area.I think the other 2 reviews were done by the attorney or his office.
