My sister was a patient at behavioral medicine for suicidal tendencies and was treated like a dog. She was pushed by the charge nurse Angela.After she had a major seizure because her dilantin level was too high at 36 which is life threatening the staff refused to take her downstairs to the emergency room. She was denied her medications several times and was treated with total indifference especially by the charge nurse Angela. At one point my sister was burning up with fever and the nurse refused to even give her Tylenol. She went to this place to get help and was shown absolutely no compassion. I am a medical assistant and compassion and good bed side manner seems mandatory to me. Especially in behavioral medicine. I want the patient advocate to contact me at 318-578-3222. She is amazing!!! We switched to her after Dr.Rao retired. I couldn't ask for a better pediatrician for my children! She is very thorough, and always takes good care of my family!

The list of incompetencies and failure to provide timely care for our elderly family member who was hospitalized recentlly at WKP is long and painful. It includes lack of coordination of information by medical staff, refusal of WKP physician to respond, unnecessary delay in request to transfer care from the WKP physician to a private physician, false information re location of MRI facility, unnecessary transport of at risk patient, bed sores undetected and untreated, incompetent discharge staff and procedures, failure to provide needed RX information, failiure to provide complete list of medications at discharge, delay of discharge until 11pm, failure of social worker to provide MD orders for Homecare, failure of social worker to communicate with family. Our written feedback was met by a gratuitous discounting of any accountability and false accusations by the administrative and professional staff.
