Running is a popular sport for many people, for some it is to stay in shape, for others it is for their own mental health, and for some it is a community they enjoy competing in. Regardless of the reason why you run, there are several aspects of your training that might put you at risk of injury. To keep you out on the roads, tracks and treadmills lets look at some strength exercises to help ward off injury.

Ultrasound

Â “While changes on imaging that are apparent in both affected and unaffected limbs require cautious interpretation, negative ultrasound findings can be used to confidently rule out LET as a diagnosis Â and prompt the clinician to consider other causes of elbow pain.”
MRI
X-rays can be helpful if a clavicle fracture is suspected, or in cases of complete displacement of the clavicle as in a type IV > VI (See grading system below). In these cases an MRI will often be ordered to visualize associated soft tissue damage. However, in most common cases (Grade I>II) imaging is not necessary as a diagnosis can be made based on the mechanism of injury and specific tests which can be done in the clinic.
