We have taken our shi-tzu here four times now. The first two times he looked amazing! The third he was a bit choppy, but I chalked it up to the possibility of matting, which is common with his breed (if you do not brush frequently and seeing as how we live in the country and he thinks he is a hound dog, keeping up is next to impossible). The third time I took him in and he was shaking, a nervous wreck. He is 2 1/2 years old. We’ve been grooming for years and with the previous groomer, Nancy, he loved going to her home and playing with her dogs. He would jump right out of the car and trot to her door..knowing what to expect. I have NEVER seen him like this. The groomer (whose name I am unsure of) came to meet us, she said she may have to go shorter on his cut because he seemed to be slightly matted. I told her that was acceptable and I understood. When I got him back, 5 hours later, he was unrecognizable. I thought he must have been in horrible shape, the groomer did not come out to discuss the length of whether I was happy with the cut. I got home and looked back to see how long it had been since his last visit. 10 weeks. We usually do 8. I think noticed a red spot on his eye that seemed to get worse. I wasn’t sure if it was from the blades being too hot and close to the skin..now four days later his eye is scabbed. I have yet to call and tell the company as I am FURIOUS. This is totally unacceptable and if she had knicked him, telling me, the client would have kept my business. We will NEVER be back (to breed or board, which we also do) and we will NEVER recommend this place to family or friends!!!

When we took our loving boy, Karen was the owner and groomer at the time. It's been a few years ago now. She was ALWAYS loving and professional...BUT...sometime ago I was shopping at a store next door. One of the workers was SCREAMING and HOLLERING at 1 of the puppies/dogs in the fence under her care ( it was barking). I vowed to myself that very day to NEVER EVER go back to Paws N Claws!!!!!!! ://

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who loves their pets. The employees are rude, obnoxious, loud & uneducated. The owner wants to add things on that u don't ask for & the groomers shouldn't be allowed to groom....leaving a whole lot to be desired as well as the two redneck girls whom are abusive & overly rough with our furry companions!!! This lady shouldn't own a business!!
