Oral Cancer Screening
During your first appointment with us, we will perform a complete diagnosis that includes an oral cancer screening, an evaluation of the soft tissues (cheeks, tongue, palate), an evaluation of your periodontal health (gums and surrounding bone), and an evaluation of the hard tissue (teeth). We will also take the appropriate digital radiographs necessary to ensure a thorough and complete diagnosis.

Teeth Cleaning
The main cause of gum disease is plaque buildup. When plaque is not regularly removed (by brushing, flossing, and regular dental cleanings), it damages the gums.
Fluoride Treatment
Regular dental checkups every 6 months help ensure that potential problems are caught early. We will check for any problems that you may not see or feel, including cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer. We will complete a thorough dental cleaning and may recommend a Fluoride treatment to help strengthen the tooth enamel and decrease sensitivity many patients report.
Dental Sealants
We may recommend dental sealants as an extra defense to prevent tooth decay. A dental sealant acts as a barrier that protects the tooth against decay-causing bacteria. Sealants are usually applied to the depressions and grooves (pits and fissures) on chewing surfaces of the back teeth (premolars and molars) where decay often occurs. While brushing and flossing removes food particles and plaque from smooth surfaces of teeth, toothbrush bristles often cannot reach all the way into the depressions and grooves to extract food and plaque. Sealants protect these vulnerable areas by "sealing out" plaque and food.

Fillings
Resin Composite
There are 2 main types of dental restorations: direct and indirect. Direct restorations are fillings placed immediately into a prepared cavity in a single visit. They include dental amalgam, glass ionomers, resin ionomers and some resin composite fillings. The tooth is prepared and the restoration is placed and adjusted in one appointment.
Veneers
You no longer need to hide your smile because of gaps, chips, stains, or misshapen teeth. With porcelain veneers, you can easily correct your teeth's imperfections to help you have a more confident, beautiful smile. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells made from tooth-colored porcelain designed to cover the front side of your teeth. Veneers are natural in appearance, and are a perfect alternative for patients wanting to make minor adjustments to the look and feel of their smile.
Crowns
The procedure for having a bridge made is very similar to the crown procedure and requires 2 appointments. At the first appointment the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth or teeth (abutment teeth) are prepared as they would be for full coverage crowns and an impression of the area is made. This impression is sent to a dental laboratory where the bridge is fabricated from porcelain, gold, or a combination of these materials. During the second appointment the bridge is cemented onto the abutment teeth, connected by the new replacement tooth or teeth.
Bridges
Indirect restorations generally require two or more visits. They include inlays, onlays, veneers, crowns and bridges fabricated with gold, base metal alloys, ceramics or composites. During the first visit, the tooth is prepared, an impression of the area to be restored is made, and the impression is sent to a dental laboratory, which fabricates the dental restoration. At the next appointment, the restoration is cemented in place and adjusted as needed.
Dental Bonding
Bonding is a conservative way to repair slightly chipped, discolored, or crooked teeth. During dental bonding, a white filling composed of composite resin is placed onto your tooth to improve its appearance. The filling "bonds" with your teeth, and because it comes in a variety of tooth-colored shades, it closely matches the appearance of your natural teeth. Composite resin bonded fillings can also be used to restore posterior teeth. Is bonding a good option for me? Root Canal Treatment
During treatment, the diseased pulp is removed, and the root canal(s) of the tooth are then cleaned and sealed. The entire procedure usually takes 1-3 appointments depending on the severity of the infection and complexity of the root canal system. Because some teeth are more challenging to treat than others, we may refer you to an endodontist, a dentist who specializes in diseases of the pulp, to have your root canal treatment completed.

Dentures
A bridge, or fixed partial denture, replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been.
Overdentures
An overdenture is a removable denture that fits over a small number of remaining natural teeth or implants. Overdentures provide increased retention and stability for the denture, particularly in cases where a patient lacks adequate bone support.
