A place where the imagination of the brilliant owner makes for an unforgettable meal. Try meatloaf on a stick, or a slice of incredible chocolate cake, lavished with chocolate sauce and shot through with chocolate crystals.

New this year, and Seriously hidden. You have to LOOK for this place, on a one-way lane in downtown Sarasota, by the post officea charming small early to mid-century house, with a tiny patio in back where they do weekly BBQ dinners with music. The food is fresh and abundant and HUGE. Went there for lunch and could have shared any of the entrees that came out. Very few tables, in 3 rooms that each had their own antique touches. The main room and the very front room with just one table had the best light, but all were nice. The women running the restaurant came by their Southern cooking credentials honestly the food quality was quite excellent, the tastes authentic. Service was pleasant and friendly, though leisurely. A great spot to meet friends for lunch, heard dinner was good too -- will go again soon.

The servings are generous, the fare artfully served, the owner and staff attentive and friendly. This is the perfect place to have a party in the evening, a chic breakfast or brunch, or a delightful lunch. It's a terrific value, and you won't find another place like it in SRQ, or maybe even the world! You can park behind Iberia Bank, or quite easily on Main Street. You'll be the hippest person in your crowd if you scoop your friends on this one! Enjoy - we certainly did!
