Overall
We are from Phoenix, AZ. We ...

We are from Phoenix, AZ. We drove our 1995 Toyota Avalon to visit family in Santa Fe, NM. While in Santa Fe, our front end began to shake strongly when a applying the brakes. I didn't want to take it to an unfamiliar mechanic for all the usual reasons, but I didn't want to break down in the middle of the desert on the way home either. My sister did not have any recommendations, so I went through the phone book.

FAST was the nearest shop that specialized in Toyotas and front end work. So we dropped the car off , hoped for the best and , for once, we got it.. Jim at FAST called us a few hours later, the car was ready to be picked up. The problem wasn't as severe as I'd expected and neither was the time or cost of repair. The entire transaction was straightforward and a huge relief instead of a hassle. FAST is an honest shop that does quality work at a very reasonable cost (and they actually were FAST as well). They took excellent care of us and I would recommend them to anyone.

Thanks Jim & everybody at FAST, we made it home alive :), Dylan from Phoenix.

Excellent service

I took my Audi A4 with an internal engine noise. The repair was made without engine disassembly and for a reasonable price. I am happily back on the road.

My side of the story concerning above review

On Sept 23,'08 Alex [Sorry can not disclose last name]came in w/ his '03 Honda CRV w/ multiple oil leaks. The problem with an engine w/ oil leaks is we don't know how long it had been leaking or how many times the customer had driven w/ insufficient lubrication and therefore how much damage may have happened before we even saw the vehicle. Anyway we found a lot of oil leaking from the rear main seal which required transmission removal. The reason we replaced the clutch is because of the location of the leak, the old clutch becomes oil saturated rendering it unusable. We also found oil leaks in the front of the engine [opposite side of where we worked] which he declined to have repaired. I explained to him that driving a car w/ further oil leaks was a gamble due to the fact that the front crank seal that he declined to have repaired could suddenly increase in leakage w/ no warning. We had an appointment for him to repair the other oil leaks, which he canceled.[He said he needed to

FAST did not fix an Oil Leak, I threw a Rod

In September 2008 I brought my 2003 Honda CRV to Foreign Auto Service Technicians (FAST) to investigate an oil leak that I discovered the prior week. Jim, one of the managers of FAST, informed me that the valve cover gasket and clutch would need to be replaced even though the car had only 55k miles. While traveling weeks later I heard a load bang and I pulled over, oil was leaking all over and there was a hole under the engine. I had the car towed to FAST at which time they told me the engine had thrown a rod and possibly damaged the transmission. I told Jeb another of the managers that I only drove about 500 miles, since they worked on it and I felt that they were responsible. He made it clear that it was not there fault. I towed it to another mechanic and found that FAST did not use the Honda Authorized sealant, on an oil pan seal and that caused the failure. I had to replace the Engine and Transmission at a cost of over $4700. Don't Trust FAST
