Internal Medicine
Paul E. Harrison, MD graduated from Brigham Young University in chemistry and then the University of Southern California Medical School as a Medical Doctor. His residency training has allowed him to become experienced in skin diseases in diverse patient geographic populations in California, Texas, Ohio, Florida and Utah. He completed residencies in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Harrison was a medical dermatologist at the University of Florida, College of Medicine prior to returning to his home state of Utah to begin private practice.

Mohs Surgery
Dr. Harrison performs Mohs surgeries as an outpatient procedure. The patient is awake during the entire procedure, and discomfort is usually minimal. It is important to note that Mohs surgery is not appropriate for the treatment of all skin cancers. Mohs Micrographic surgery typically is reserved for those skin cancers that recurred following previous treatment or for cancers that are at high risk for recurrence. Mohs surgery also is indicated for cancers located in areas such as the nose, ears, eyelids, lips hairline, hands, feet and genitals, in which maximal preservation of healthy tissue is critical for cosmetic or functional purposes.
